Yuganna's big day out

"Yuganna, come over here please."
The young, blond haired Egyptian man called. The small creature ignored him, continuing her aimless staring.
"Yuganna! Please come here now, I won't ask again."
He insisted.
"If I must."
She replied, not understanding why Marik wanted her near him. She hated that he could hide his thoughts from her, and that today he seemed to be taking extra care to do so. As she looked in to his brown eyes, she could see Ra shifting, and her curiosity was aroused. Why was Marik's yoki burbling like that? To what reason did he need to...?

Sometime later after Marik finally got Yuganna into the damn car they were off, off to his childhood home. He knew that this was dangerous, that Yuganna might not understand that his sister wasn't his wife, or that...he just had to be careful and alert. That was the best way, to keep her out of trouble; he needed to be on his guard.

Ishizu watched as her brother's car pulled up the driveway. Marik was home, and there was another person in the passenger's side. She waited calmly as he got out, then gaped as a small girl got out and came to stand behind him.

It wasn't what Marik expected; Yuganna was both quiet and well behaved at the same time. She didn't fuss as he introduced her to Ishizu, and shyly nodded her head at Odion. All seemed well, but Marik couldn't let that get to him.

Yuganna was interested in the place that Marik grew up in; she was also very surprised that he'd lived like this for most of his life, before he met her. His room was small, a simple table, bookshelf, and bed were all he had. Yuganna likened it to a prison, though it wasn't as bad as what she'd had. Nor was it anywhere near as depressing.

Ishizu was good enough, Yuganna decided, seeing that this was the first time that she'd met the woman; she was coping quite well with the sight of her first Flier. She was a lot like Marik, but she was also different. Where Marik was accepting, Ishizu was more...I just don't have the words for what she is...Yuganna thought.

After that, Marik and Yuganna went to one of his favourite places to eat, which lead them to have lunch and allowed Yuganna to look at all of the Egyptian people doing their business along the street. There were fat people, skinny people, tall and short, white and black, so many different people, more than what she'd ever seen in her entire life. She thought that they looked rather funny.

Sitting out in the sunlight, with Marik was the most enjoyable thing that Yuganna had going for today. She liked it when it was just the two of them, with no one else to annoy them. It was times like this that Yuganna felt like bouncing around happily, in her usual state of mind, but today she felt like she needed to just rest.

After lunch Yuganna enjoyed looking out of the car's window and listening to the CD that Marik was playing for her. It was then that she felt a little off colour, but decided that since she'd had such a big day it was the newness of it all that she would have to adjust to.

Marik carefully stopped the car at their home, and sure enough, Yuganna was asleep. Poor girl, he thought maybe it was just a bit too much for her.

He gently put her to bed and settled down with a good long book.
