They're liars.

They're traitors.

They're out to get me.

Trust no one but yourself.

Believe no one but yourself.

Rely on no one but yourself.

It's just you and him.

First it was the team.

They didn't trust me. I was always the newcomer, the anchor keeping them from setting sail. I was nothing more than a distraction to them, keeping their eyes off the road ahead. I came from out of nowhere and corrupted their captain.

That's how they saw me. That's how they treated me. When they tricked him into kicking me off the team, I had to get them. I had to take them out before they continued to manipulate the very leader that depended on them. I had to get him from them.

That was a mistake.

Star Wolf couldn't be trusted either. Beneath their honor-bound anti-villain shell lay beings corrupted to the very marrow in their bones. They backstabbed me. They used and then dumped me. I was nothing but a pawn to them. So I left them.

The public saw and reacted.

I was booed. I was chased by angry mobs. I could find neither food nor lodging. I couldn't return to either of those backstabbing teams. I also couldn't stay out in the open.

So I left.

I spent some time on Kew. That was phase one in my plan to start over. I collected money I desperately needed. Then I ran into him.

He didn't recognize me.

I could see it in his eyes. I was nobody to him. I was just some rabid fan girl stalking a washed-up has-been. He told me to go away. I needed to act.

He had only one weapon and he knew it was loaded.

I took the gun out of the holster and held it against his back. He'd understand it was for the greater good. I took him to my ship and bound and gagged him. I then locked up his gun in my ship's safe and took off. The journey was long, so it was fortunate I had invested in a roomier ship. I had him sleep in the bottom bunk.

Days later, we arrived.

Is days the right term? It was based off of the clocks I had on board. With relativity and whatnot, it's hard to tell time. It didn't matter now that I had him.

We were home now.

It was a secluded jungle on Sauria. We would go native and live out a primitive existence. Of course I was his chief. I was in charge. I soon became his entire world. It was good and the present I left aboard the Great Fox lit up the night sky when it detonated. I knew Slippy and Peppy were aboard. It didn't matter if Falco wasn't. He would try to take me out on foot rather than risk hurting Fox.

And he did.

Some of the plants in the jungle make for great non-lethal toxins. We had our slave. It didn't take long to break him. They both look so cute as jungle boys. It puts me in a yaoi kind of mood. Not like they have any choice in the matter
