"A Life That's So Demanding"
I see you lying next to me
With words I thought I'd never speak
Awake and Unafraid
Asleep or dead
-MCR
The club was crowded as usual, with it being Friday night and all, but it was all the same to me. The lights danced off the glitter that filled the room, mostly coming off the stage and half naked women who shook their asses on it. The room was loud, but I still felt a painful silence come over me as I sat at the bar, taking in the room. Groups of men were drinking and laughing, letting their walls down and relaxed as the stress from their week fell away. Maybe they needed a night out, or maybe just a night away from their wives. A night of cigars, drinks and lapdances, not to mention, groping on gorgeous girls was a good way to forget anyone was at home waiting for you. I watched as they all swirled by me in slow motion, the air of the room thickening as all the sound collapsed and I was standing there, unable to hear anything but my own thoughts.
My eyes roamed the room, watching as people engaged in dull conversation, dancing to the pounding music in the room, but I couldn't hear any of it. All I could hear in that moment, was a soft breath in my ear, three little words that were powerful enough to bring me to my knees. My eyes closed as I remembered… I woke up as the morning sun came in through the window, casting a soft golden glow over her back. The white crumpled sheets clung loosely to her naked body as her long wavy hair cascaded down her bare back. It was a sight that would forever be burned into my mind, I wouldn't let myself forget it.
"Mm, good morning, Handsome" her voice was raspy from sleep, but soft and delicate all at once. I pulled her against me with a groan, claiming her lips without warning as I moved to lay her on her back, hovering above her as I fit perfectly between those long legs that I loved so much.
"Good morning, Beautiful." I kissed her with a passion that I've never felt before, one that I didn't even know I was capable of feeling. Our lips moved together perfectly as our bodies entwined, tangled up in the sheets as I made love to the only woman that ever held my heart in the palm of her hand. Her voice was soft as her words escaped her swollen lips, "I love you…"
I felt my heart sink slightly as I stood there in the crowded room, wishing I was back in bed with her, holding her in my arms as I breathed her in because that was the best moment of my life. I mumbled under my breath, only to myself with words I thought I'd never speak. "I love you, Pluto…" I grabbed my keys off the bar and ran for the back door, unable to get back to her fast enough.
