Rosalina was calling Luigi.
"Hello? Hi, Rosalina!"
Daisy glared at the phone.
"Sure, I'll help you. Great. Your welcome, bye!" Luigi ended the call looking happy.
"What does she want?" Daisy asked coldly.
"Oh, something's broken and she wants me to check it out!" Luigi explained cheerfully.
The phone rang again. Daisy answered it.
"Hi, L! Sure, I'd love to go! Thank you! Bye!" Daisy ended the call.
Luigi looked loathing at the phone.
"What's up with you, Mr. Cheerful?" Daisy teased.
Rosalina was delighted that Luigi was coming. Nothing was actually broken, but she just wanted him to come.
Mr. L couldn't stop thinking about Daisy. He told her to that Mario and Peach were coming to this restaurant with him and he asked her if she wanted to come. Really, Mario and Peach were never coming, so it would just be him.
Luigi saw Rosalina. She waved and he waved back. He noticed her blue eyes were sparkling and he found that pretty...
Stop thinking like that! You love Daisy! Luigi scolded himself.
"Hi, Luigi! Let me show you what needs to be fixed!" Rosalina led him inside her castle.
Daisy spotted Mr. L and ran towards him.
"Hello, Daisy! So it turns out Mario and Peach aren't coming. You don't if you don't want to..." Mr. L started.
"No, I'm staying! You can't get rid of me that easily!" Daisy joked. Her heart fluttered.
"It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it... nope! It's fine!" Luigi told Rosalina.
Rosalina was disappointed. He was probably going to leave.
Luigi noticed her expression. "What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing!" Rosalina insisted.
She looks sad. Maybe heartbroken... she must like someone! Luigi pieced.
"Is it Mario?"
"No, but one of his friends."
"I don't mean this in a bad way, but Mario doesn't have a lot of friends! He has more enemies than friends."
Rosalina giggled. "Think about it! If you want to know."
Luigi looked serious. "Toad?"
Rosalina giggled harder. "No!"
"Please tell me! I won't tell anyone!" Luigi pleaded.
"That's impossible on your part!" Rosalina mentioned.
"Are you saying I can't keep a secret? I've kept a ton of Daisy's secrets!"
"Name one." Rosalina smiled.
"Well, the one about- it's a secret!" Luigi caught himself. "See? I can keep a secret! I can help you, too. I was like you when I first liked Daisy."
Rosalina's smile faded. "Daisy..." she murmured.
"Do you not like her? I know you've met her."
"She's okay. She's just a bit... loud. I'm sorry."
Luigi took this in. She was right; Daisy was loud. And she talked a lot. But he still loved her, right?
"No, it's okay! Who do you like?"
"I regret even telling you that was right. I might tell you tomorrow..." Rosalina hinted.
"I have time to kill today! I might as well stay here!" Luigi pointed out.
"Are you good at volley ball?" Rosalina asked smiling.
