Okay, I've always hated it when anyone calls her Hermione... It's a horrible name for her and it wasn't used in the boos. Hermione's a lovely name... I don't think Hermione would even let people get away with calling her 'Mione.
Discalimer: J. K. Rowling owns these guys... although, I'm sure she can tell you she never made up anyone called 'Mione.
Ron looked up just in time to see Hermione entering the common room, looking a little upset. He failed to notice this, of course and merely waved her over.
"Hey, 'Mione!" He called.
"What did you just call me?" hissed Hermione. Her eyes were blazing.
"J-Just 'Mione." He looked terrified as he finally caught on to her bad mood. "I thought, maybe, it could be a nickname or something."
"A nickname?" She screeched. "And so you immediately thought 'Mione sounded right?"
"I just though, you know, since your name's really long and- Put your wand away!"
Hermione just waved said wand in his face threateningly.
"Call me 'Mione again and I'll hit you with a curse so painful you won't even be able to talk, Ronald Weasley!"
Ron gave Harry a nervous grin as Hermione finally sat back down, shooting Ron another glare in the process.
"Hermione?" Harry, sounding a little scarred himself. "What's so bad about the name?"
"I hate it, okay!" She snapped "and Pansy Parkinson was just saying my name was ugly and now Ron has to go and-"
"I don't think you're name's ugly!" Ron protested. Hermione silenced him with a glare.
"Just don't call me 'Mione. Seriously, it's the worst name ever!"
'Nuff said.
