A/N: Do you have any idea how much I've missed writing for these guys? I haven't written for them since April! This is not allowed! Apparently I haven't had Meat/Sid involved since 2009... so I'm here to fix this! Inspired by Werepuppyblack - who managed to get me writing some angst, so I felt the need to write fluff - and the ridiculous amount of snow that seems to have covered the UK (seven inches of it in my garden, and counting). Reviews are love!
Sid hated the cold. Sure, snow was fun when they could go out in it, but the cold? No. Bohemian clothing did not keep her particularly warm, which was why she was sitting in the middle of the shared mattress, hugging her knees and shivering with a scowl on her face. Most people would take one look at her and know to leave her alone. Meat wasn't most people.
"Oh c'mon, it's not that cold," she rolled her eyes, smirking.
Sid narrowed her eyes at the blonde. "Your lips are turning blue, you're clearly lying."
"Alright, maybe it's a little cold," Meat walked over and sat down beside her, reaching out to rub the bare skin of her arms. Sid yelped the second Meat's hand touched her arm.
"Your hands are fucking freezing!"
"Well help be bloody warm them up then!" As Sid's lips spread into a sly grin, Meat smacked her leg playfully. "Not like that, c'mere." She moved so that she was sitting behind Sid and grabbed a blanket, wrapping it around them both. "Better?" Sid nodded.
"Much. Though…"
"What?"
"Talking to Blink earlier… y'know he's just a fountain of random crap… he reckons the best way to keep warm is through body heat."
"You're terrible," Meat laughed.
"It's true!" Sid pouted. "Care to find out yourself?"
…
"Well this is… different," Mot commented, frowning against the collar of Blink's shirt.
"What is?"
"This," she tried to gesture around her, but found herself unable to move, due to the two pairs of arms wrapped around her.
"Your boyfriend said it'll help us keep warm," Link said. "Dunno about you two, but I'm bloody freezing."
"Guess she does have a point," Blink frowned. "All three of us in a bed."
"Didn't complain the other night," Link winced as his brother managed to awkwardly kick his shin. "Could be worse."
Blink and Mot frowned. "How?" He grinned.
"One of us could fart."
…
"Sonny?"
The man in question looked up to find Ziggy in the doorway, clutching a blanket and his teddy (which, really, was more an indescribable ball of fuzz by now) in one hand, the thumb of his left occupying his mouth.
"Zig?"
The young boy took his thumb from his mouth long enough to mumble, "'S cold."
Sonny smiled and stood up. "Well, let's fix that then," he took the blanket and wrapped it around the boy tightly, ruffling his hair as he finished. Ziggy beamed.
"Thank you." As he left Sonny shook his head, chuckling to himself.
"How a boy that spends so much time with Sid can be that polite is beyond me."
