"I know you know how to do it," Lord Vader hissed, the tip of his lightsaber hovering threateningly in front of Palpatine's neck.

The twisted Sith monarch's sickly yellow eyes glowed with rage. "I offered to teach you to do it for your wife; I refuse to do it for your light-sided brat."

Vader moved the lightsaber closer to Sidious' neck. The Sith could feel the heat of the blade. "You wouldn't," he breathed. "You wouldn't dare."

"Wouldn't I?"

The blood red blade began to burn Palpatine's skin.

"Fine," the Emperor finally hissed. "Fine. But if I do this, you must turn him to the Dark Side or it will have all been in vain."

Vader slowly lowered his weapon. Palpatine gracefully stepped around him and knelt down by the lifeless body of Luke Skywalker.

He slowly lowered his gnarled hands to rest on the dead Jedi's chest and forehead. His eyelids fluttered shut and his breathing became deep. Things in the room began to shake and quiver where they sat. The floor started to shake. Windows cracked down the middle. The air crackled with energy. Palpatine's body trembled with power and exertion.

Luke Skywalker's eyes snapped open. He exhaled an enormous breath and his eyes began to frantically dart around the room. He opened his mouth and screamed a horrible, blood chilling, window shattering scream.

Luke Skywalker had reason to be in such a state.

Luke Skywalker had just come back to life.

Author's Note: I had this idea around the time Revenge of the Sith came out but I never actually wrote it. I know I don't say how Luke died but I just couldn't find a place in the story to include any explanation. And I'm not even sure myself when this is supposed to take place within the course of the movies . . . It turned out all kind of vague . . .

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading it!
