Prologue
Hi, my name is Samantha, but all my friends call me Sam. I am 21 years old in 3 weeks. I got out of college and I want to become an actress. I moved from my small home in Omaha, Nebraska to Hollywood, California. I haven't landed a movie yet, but I am planning on trying out for Katniss in the new Hunger Games movie. I live in a small apartment, with a black lab named, Shady. I want to be in a big time movie, so I can move Shady and I to a bigger apartment, without any of my weirdo neighbors.
Chapter 1
Josh Hutcherson. I don't understand what the big whoop is about him. He is Sean from Journey To The Center of the Earth, and Laser from the Kids Are All Right, among other things. But he is just an actor, doing his job! I hear he is trying out for Peeta in The Hunger Games movie. Everyone is so jealous of me getting a call back from the audition for Katniss, because I get to meet Josh, and practice some lines. Today, Elizabeth (my best friend since 2nd grade, she moved to Hollywood with me) is telling me to get a picture of Josh Hutcherson so she could stare at him all day on her phone. Sometimes I think I need new friends…
Chapter 2
I head over to the call back, after promising Liz that I will take a picture of Josh Hutcherson for her, about a thousand times. When I walk in, I see Jennifer Lawrence already practicing her lines from the script that they gave her. It is a small room, big enough to fit about 20 people in here. There is a door, I see goes into another room. There is a desk, right by the door, I see a tall skinny man. The man says, "Samantha Stacey?" I quickly reply, "Yes?" "Here is your script, you can practice any part you want, Josh already knows the whole script." Says the unknown man. "Okay, thank you!" i say. I go over to him, and grab the script, but he whispers in my ear, "you might want to practice a lot, it seems Jenn has the part in the bag." I quickly go over to one of the seats farthest away from the man. I grab my phone and text Liz, "Heyy, i just got the script, they told me to pick any part in the movie, you are in love with the book, what should i do?' Liz quickly text back, 'the cave scene DEFINITELY!' I go to the cave scene, and see if it is anything like the book. Its not, only one kiss, and i don't think Josh will do it. So I reply 'okay. I need to go now bye!' I study the scene very carefully, and when i think i am about ready to go in, Suzanne Collins calls my name.
