Hey guys!

so first of all i'd like to apologize to my french readers (this fanfiction was originally written in french) but as you noticed its been a long time i didn't add any chapter, and it was actually because i didn't feel inspired anymore. But somehow i realized i am much more inspired when i write in english, so i decided to re-write this fanfiction. I hope you'll understand!

This fanfiction isn't entirely canon. I tried my best not to modify the original Prince's Tale too much, by the way. Basically i think it'll end at Snape's death, so i'll probably reach 20 chapters or so. it's starts with snily but ends canonically with jily, even though the ghost of snily will still be there. I was thinking about taking you guys' request to write this fanfiction, so if you have any idea, anything that you would like to read in this fanfic like a line or an actual scene, just message me and i'll write it!

thank you so much for reading my fanfiction, i hope you'll enjoy it! xx

The Prince's Tale

Prologue

Lily Evans has never been an ordinary girl. Through her growth, she began discovering

certain skills that ordinary people like her parents or her sister didn't have: she could make things move without touching them. It never scared her much. Quite the contrary, she liked it. It made her feel special, proud to be different. Unfortunately, when she spoke about those skills to her parents, they merely chuckled.

Of course, who would believe her? most certainly not her older sister, Petunia.

"Yeah, right, keep telling that to yourself, little sister…" She would say, snickering.

However one day, as they were playing in the backyard, Petunia decided to answer something else; something she thought would be much cleverer.

"Alright then." She said, jumping off the swing and crossing her arms as she looked down at her, somehow managing to keep her chin up and her nose sticking up to the air. "Show me."

Little Lily smiled and stretched the legs as far as she could reach every time the swing rushed forward, swinging higher and higher, much higher than her sister was swinging. Petunia watched her, smirking. She is going to fall, eventually, she thought. But Lily never fell.

At some point, after reaching a speed that would allow her to make a full turn with the swing, she stretched her legs and let go. Petunia's smirk had vanished. Now, an ordinary person would have levitated in the air for a second with the speed's power, before crashing down on the ground and, in some cases, breaking something. But Lily was no ordinary person. To petunia's horror, she raised herself in the air, spinning and laughing as though she was flying and landed lightly on the grass. She smiled from ear to ear, but Petunia was no longer smiling.

"What have you done?" She shrieked, her eyes wide in horror. Lily's radiant expression slowly turned into a confused one.

"But… I thought… You said…"

"Freak! You're a freak, Lily ! I always knew it!" petunia shouted, pushing her little sister backwards, away from her.

"I'm not!" A sob escaped Lily's lips.

"You are! Freak! Mental ! Freak ! »

Before little Lily could protest, Petunia was already running back home, leaving her alone in the backyard, tears rolling down her cheeks. Petunia never missed an occasion to turn her down, and she never understood why. She had never learnt how to deal with it either, for it cut her feelings in pieces. Is being different really alright? She wondered. She sniffed and wiped her tears away, when a little daisy caught her eyes down on the grass. She smiled slightly and picked it up. In the palm of her hand the little flower was resting, when suddenly it started spinning and lifting itself up in the air. Her smile widened.

"There, look! She's doing it again! Mom! Dad! Watch her ! »

Lily gasped and the little daisy fell to the ground. She ran back home, where Petunia was pointing at her from the window. Somewhere in the backyard, the bushes shuddered. The wind wasn't blowing.
