I gasped and winced as the creepy baby doll head came on the TV screen signaling that commercials were coming on.

"Oh my gosh! I hate that thing!" my friend Zosima and I say together.

I turned off the TV and told her I was going to bed.

"Night Jessi," she says.

I roll over the next morning to see the scariest thing ever. My brother.

"Get out!" I yell at him bewildered. I watch Jae scurry away. "And don't come back!" I shout after him.

"Mom! Jessikah yelled at me!" He shouted downstairs. He officially made me mad when he used my full name.

"The buffoon was in my room again!" I yell trying to save my butt.

"Why were you in her room Jacelyn?" my mom asks him.

I hear a scream. He probably got paddled I think to myself. Then I realize Zo Zo is gone.

"Zo Zo!" I yell for her. There is no reply. None. At all.

I start to panic and run downstairs still in my pajamas. There's no one there. I grab my laptop and head to my neighbors house like my family and I do in emergency drills.

I knock on the door really hard until I hear a hostile sounding raspy voice telling me, "Go away. They're not here. They've all been taken."

"Where to?" I ask disheartened.

"I will take you if you want to know."

"Um… okay I guess."

As me and the lady, yes lady, drive down Jacks lane she tells me about how its her granddaughter's birthday on Halloween. She also told me I was helping decorate the old abandoned shack for the surprise birthday party.

"It's also my birthday on Halloween." I tell the lady.

When we finally arrive 'Surprise!' is yelled at us as I get sodden with green slime.

"I thought you said the party was for her." I say completely dumbfounded.

"It is. But it's also for you. She's already here." she replies coolly.

Someone yells 'grandma' from across the room. It must be the other birthday girl.

"Happy birthday!" I tell her.

"Likewise!" she replies.

I met all the guests. My whole family was there. My mom, my dad, my aunts and uncles, and my brother. A lot of my friends from school were there too including Sheila, Carry, Josh, Zane, and Zack, the twins.

The cake was half vanilla half chocolate with a bunch of things like ghosts, bats, and a full moon. We played spin the bottle which was very interesting, pin the tail on the donkey, and the hoola-hoop game. There was a piñata shaped like a ghost that Zosima broke open in the end.

"I'm having so much fun!" I tell my mom.

"I can tell sweetie keep having fun too!"

"Yes ma'am!"

I danced and sang in the contests. I tried my hardest at the bubble blowing contest, but Zane won with Zack in second and me in third. I was told congratulations so many times!

I had a very hard time at the game where you sit on a balloon and try to be the first to pop yours. Everyone including me laughed when I fell off my balloon trying to win!

When it was time for the birthday girls to open their presents every one gathered around two tables, one for me and one for her.

I started out with my smallest gift. It was from my dad. I slowly tore the purple wrapping paper off. I gasped. It was the most beautiful necklace ever! The note inside said 'To my dearest one and only daughter."

"Aw. Thanks daddy!" I squeal.

"You're welcome baby girl," he replied softly.

The rest of my presents included various cute clothing, an iTunes card, jewelry, a couple movies and Cds.

The other birthday girl was still opening presents when I got done. She mostly got clothing from big stores, a new computer, accessories, and a stuffed animal.

I had the best day ever on that Halloween night!
