Gah! Another on of my drabble-like oneshots. Another rushed one but I kinda like it... It shows Oga's judgement on Hilda's character.
She.
She isn't perfect, but she's one hell of a woman.
She was a bitch.
No other words could describe her so perfectly, he once commented. She was one of the few girls that made him run for his life, the other ones being his sister and mother. He hated her.
She was a pain.
She was one of the reasons why his life is so fucking screwed up. Deceiving his family formally with that oh so elegant face of hers; he told them that what she was implying wasn't true. But his traitorous family didn't even believe one word he said, and welcomed her into the family.
That day was the start of his grief, with her and the baby in the middle of the picture.
She was cunning.
Tricking him that she got captured by the guy with that weird hair style, Himekawa, just to lure him into fighting. Even that small ounce of worry he carried for her vanished dreadfully when he saw her there, standing gloriously as if she was the best bitch in the world.
She was full of mysteries.
No one can read her perfectly. She was unpredictable. She's all cold and cruel when it comes to him but when she's looking at Beel, she gave this motherly smile that he, was somewhat envious of. She's even obedient when it comes to his sister, but to him, she was a demon. It pissed him off.
She was someone who gained his respect.
She wasn't weak when it comes to fighting; she was pretty strong for a woman. When she fought, she was tough yet she maintained her cold demeanor. She wasn't pathetic, she wasn't fragile. Even if she have a small amount of power left in her, she didn't back down in fights. He respected that.
She wasn't like any other women.
She wasn't like the girl he met in the park, Aoi Kunie. That girl was kind and easy to approach; he didn't have a hard time talking to her openly. But when it comes to her, it was like talking to a brick wall. It intrigued him. She intrigued him.
She was deadly.
Both strength and personality. Even the food she made was deadly, almost inedible. But it was one of her defining traits. It made her the woman he knew she was.
She was loyal.
Especially when it comes to her master, Beel. She even threw him out of his own window out of frustration when Beel got sick. He treated Beel as if he's her life; the only reason she's living. He admired that side of her.
She's a mother.
He started to notice this. Her care for Beel grew into something more. Even though her life was on the line, all she could think of was the safety of her master. Her motherly protection for Beel affected him. It made him want to protect the kid as well.
They consider her as his wife.
The whole school of Ishiyama knew that, his family knew that… He knew that.
And maybe someday… He'll acknowledge that.
