Burning Intent

A/N: I'm only just starting season three of the anime so sorry for any errors. :)

Wolfram leans against the nearest shady tree. The sun shines down brightly on it creating a cool resting place for the troubled teen. His head is titled downwards to allow his bangs to cover his face and his arms are in their classic crossed position. One foot rests flat against the tree's trunk and the other remains firmly planted on the ground. Even as his tears begin to roll down his face, his posture doesn't loosen. Sometimes reality is too much. Sometimes the pain of one-sided love is too hard to bear. Sometimes… it's all he can do to get to a secluded place before the hurt and the unreturned love take over and escape in the only way they can. After three years of this, most people would've given up before it reached this point. Even the most persistent of people would've lost hope after coming to the realization that the person they want can't love them love them back. Not won't, can't. But Wolfram hadn't. And he was paying for that mistake now. After all, only fools fall in love with someone who will never love them back. And, though he'd deny it if you asked, Wolfram knows that he's a fool. He knows that he's wasting his time. But… despite that… He just keeps coming back for more. More of this punishment that his king is unknowingly inflicting. Time and time again, Wolfram gets hurt. Each time he swears to himself that it will be the last. Swears that he will give up on his king and leave behind the anguish. And he intends to. Right up to the second where he sees his king's face, he intends to leave. But that face… That childish hope… They continue to draw him in. Like a moth to the flame with similar results.

Eventually, the tears stop and he wipes off his face. He practices a few smiles and even tests his speech before going back. With all intent of leaving he goes right back to his king, his flame, and the cycle starts again

There's more to this but, after a certain point, this just started screaming that this part was finished and demanded it's own title. There will be a sequel posted either later tonight or tomorrow.
