Stevie Rae smiled as she saw her boyfriend sound asleep beside her. He really was the best thing in her life at the moment. Everything was going crazy with her BFF and she really felt like she was useless. Zoey basically had to save the world from darkness all over again. Stevie Rae thought she'd just get in her BFF's way. So Rephaim was basically what she thought about to occupy herself.
Rephaim woke and smiled at Stevie Rae. He pulled her face close to his and kissed her gingerly. He wasn't used to this form yet, but he liked the fact that he could now kiss Stevie Rae. She kissed him back and they kissed for a bit before she pulled back.
"Rephaim, do you ever think about being useless?" she questioned, her tone uneasy.
"You are anything but useless, Stevie Rae." he said grabbing her hand and bringing it to his lips.
"But I feel useless." she pouted.
"You're anything but that." he insisted while he leaned in and kissed her cheek.
She giggled, " Your kisses make me feel better."
He smiled and kissed her lips gently.
Sometimes, Stevie Rae thought about how lucky she was to have Rephaim. He really was her gift from the goddess.
