Together

A/N: Yes, I am aware that the Berlin Wall anniversary celebration was two days ago. I completely forgot to write something for it, so...yah. My apologies for being late.

"Germany! Deutschland!" Italy shouts, running towards me.

"What is it now, Feli?" I ask, weary.

"Austria—said to tell you—the wall is falling," Feliciano pants. I stare at him in shock, before leaping up and running as fast as I can towards the center of Berlin.

I skid to a halt in front of where the wall used to stand, seeing that Prussia's people and mine are mingling. But where are you? Bruder?

As if responding to my thoughts, someone beside me gasps, and points to a lone figure limping slowly towards the broken wall. I can see the blond-white hair, even from this distance, and my heart fills with happiness as I wait for him to reach me.

Gilbert sees me waiting, and a ghost of his famous smirk crosses his face. He runs the rest of the distance, falling into my arms and sending both of us rolling on the ground. He doesn't look too good, what with all the bruises and cuts, but at least he's here.

There are tears running down both of our cheeks, but we don't care in the slightest. Russia's going to pay for what he did to my brother, I think angrily, but that's something to leave for later. We're finally together, and no one's ever going to take him away from me ever again.

Gilbert

I remember when I first found Ludwig, so long ago. He was so little then, and lost. The war had taken such a toll on him, I was afraid he would die.

I saved him, gave him another chance at life, and swore eternal allegiance to him and his new country. We fought side-by-side in battles, and everyone feared our combined power.

But the Great War led to the rise of Hitler, and he sent me off to one of his "camps" in Poland. He didn't let Ludwig even see me, much less talk to me.

Then right after the second World War ended, Russia and America separated the two of us, thinking that Germany's humiliation wasn't enough to teach him a lesson.

And to add to that, Germany was furious with me for asking to go with Russia. "I don't need your protection," he'd said, blue eyes blazing like fire. "Do you know what you just asked for? Ivan will kill you!"

"I know," I'd responded, without a second's hesitation. "I'm willing to take that price for you, mein lieber Bruder...Ich liebe dich."

Germany had started crying, and hugged me tightly. I leaned up—When did he get so tall? I wondered vaguely—and kissed him on the cheek, before Ivan ordered me to go.

The last thing I heard Ludwig say was, "Ich liebe dich auch."

Prussia looks up at me with those special ruby eyes and smiles. "It's been twenty-eight years, and you have nothing to say?" he jokes, leaning against me.

I laugh, ruffling his hair. "Being as awesome as you are, shouldn't you know everything I want to say?" I tease, tears of joy still trickling down my cheeks.

He grins. "I missed you too, West."

"Come on, East," I say, helping him up. "Let's go home."

He smiles at me, and my heart no longer feels torn apart.

A/N: Um, didn't expect Prussia to be so OC. Sorry. Ah well...fluffiness much? xD I'm surprised too.
