Hey. Just something I wrote as a fun, lighthearted piece, which is very different from my usual style (heh). Anyway, this scene takes place during the part of the manga where Oishi is playing substitute captain during Tezuka's absence, and invites St. Rudolph over for practice (volume 19). It's PG-rated, which is the lowest rating on any yaoi fanfic I've ever written. Huh. Anyway, I don't own the characters or anything like that (no kidding), so there's the disclaimer I often neglect. Enjoy.

How to Make a Shusuke Jealous

He had come in the hopes that he would have a chance to play a rematch against his "rival," Shusuke Fuji. However, when he had attempted to provoke Fuji into playing him, he had received the typical cold brush-off, after which the Seigaku genius pushed past him to give a friendly hello to Yuuta.

So Hajime was forced to swallow his annoyance while he practiced against opponents on the other team and watched Fuji do the same with Atsushi, Shinya, Yuuta, everyone but him. During one of their breaks, he watched Fuji proceed off the court to force up another conversation with Yuuta. A slow smile drew across Hajime's features. He approached the two, finger playing with his hair as was his habit.

If the bitch wouldn't pay attention to him, he would give him no choice but to start.

"Hello, Yuuta-kun," he said in a sultry voice as he advanced upon them through a series of obvious hip-swings.

"Mizuki-san," Yuuta said, forcing a weak smile, but throwing an anxious glance toward Shusuke. Shusuke wore his trademark beaming smile, and it shrank a few centimeters as this particular least favorite of his glided up to his brother. His attempt to ignore Hajime failed as the boy again addressed Yuuta.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" he said, pushing his way into their little circle and stopping quite close to Yuuta.

"Mm-hm…" he answered distractedly, evidently fearing the confrontation that seemed destined to come up, judging by the waves of coldness that Shusuke was emanating.

"You know, Yuuta-kun," Hajime began, shooting a sly look at Shusuke, "your brother refuses to let me play him. Could you possibly convince him to change his mind?"

"Let's go over here, Yuuta," Shusuke said hurriedly, but his words were in vain as Hajime started to press himself up against Yuuta.

"Or, if he continues to refuse, then the two of us could… play… in one of our rooms again, tonight."

"Mizuki-san!" Yuuta said in a panicked whisper, noticing the shocked look on Shusuke's face.

"Shh," Hajime crooned, and, tilting his face up, he pressed his lips to Yuuta's.

Yuuta was unmistakably taken aback, but instinctively he knew better than to back out of Hajime's kiss. He tentatively put his hands on Hajime's waist.

Hajime was taking great pleasure in this little display. He didn't know if the others were staring at them. Didn't give a damn, either.

As the kiss deepened, Hajime began to pull away, figuring that his taunt had been thoroughly effective. He rested his head on Yuuta's shoulder, his arms still locked around Yuuta's neck, and looked over at an aghast and furious Shusuke. Offering silent thanks that the elder of the Fuji brothers was so easy to perturb, Hajime asked him in the same cruel, teasing voice, "So, Shusuke, how about that rematch?"
