The Four

Peter, magnanimous to all.

Strong in defeat, gentle in victory,

Offering a hand to all who fall

To raise them with noble humility.

~o*o~

Susan, tall and lovely as a rose,

Her gentle fingers softly soothing

All their many hurts and woes,

And like a rapier blade, unbreaking.

~o*o~

Edmund, quiet, just and knowing,

Fathoming the hearts of men;

Righting wrongs and sowing healing

And in his own way, to mend.

~o*o~

Lucy, full of light, courageous;

Her eyes toward Aslan raised

A signpost to the others

When lost in worldly pains.

~o*o~

One to stand when the others fall,

One to heal and comfort all,

One to drink in wisdom's hall,

And one to hear the Call.

~o*o~

Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy

Bonded like a ring of steel.

No other hearts knit so closely

As before Aslan they kneel

A/N: I know I'm not much of a poet and this is not much of a poem...but...it rhymes!
