Bella Swan was beautiful, just like her name. Bella meant beautiful, and Swans are the most beautiful creatures in the world. Bella likes Swan Lake, the ballet. She wished she could dance, but she was so clumbsy. But she liked to watch it.

She was lonely these days. And that's all she did was watch ballets on the internet. She'd just moved to Phoenix from her rainy little town called Forks. She was 5 years old and her parents had just gotten a divorce. She liked how sunny it was outside. She'd never seen the sun before because Forks was always always cloudy. She wanted to go out to play, but her mother wrapped her in coats and blankets and hats whenever she went outside. It was a shame.

She loved the way her skin sparkled in the sunlight.

But her mom would never let her see it. She said that it was too beautiful for people to understand. She started a new school and everyone laughed at her. She was dressed in a long dress and a headscarf. Everyone laughed. The teacher made them stop, but they wouldn't. Bella wanted to die. She hated it here and wanted just to stay at home with her mother.

Her teacher picked her up though.

"Don't worry about them" He said, looking at all the children in the classroom who were still laughing at Bella for her funny clothes.

"But they're mean." Bella said, wiping a tear on her sleeve.

"It doesn't matter if they're mean. You're better than that."

"No I'm not." Said Bella. "I wish I had friends. I don't know anyone here. i want to go back to Forks."

"Did you say Froks?" the teacher asked.

"Yes." Bella said.

"I'm from Forks. I've lived there forever." He laughed suttley to himself. "I don't like the sun in Phoenix much but my sister Allie is really sick and needs an operation. My dad's a doctor, so he can do it, but Forks doesn't have the right equipment and neither does Seattle so we have to go to Phoenix. She's really sick so we had to be here for awhile, so that's why I got a job as a kindy teacher."

"Oh." Bella said. "Do you know my daddy? His name is Charlie and he's a police. And my mommy's Rene and she's divorced from him." Bella sniffed. She'd never have another family thanksgiving or christmas.

"Oh, I know Charlie, yes. Very well." The teacher said. "He and my dad are good friends."

"You look too young to be living with your dad."

"I'm 17" He said "I just graduated high school that's how come I got a job as a kindergarden teacher."

"Oh."

The teacher patted her forehead.

"THank you Mr Cullen."

Mr Cullen smiled, then pulled Bella close to him and whispered in her ear. "You can call me Edward. Just not when the other kids are around. You don't want to make them Jealous."

I grinned.

When I got home that night, I asked mom if she knew who Edward Cullen was and she said yes he was a very nice boy and he was one of the kids who used to go to the high school down the road.

"I didn't know he was here in Phoenix!" My mom said

"He is!!!! He's my teacher!" I giggled.

"We should have him over for dinner."

"Yeah OK"

"When is he free?"

"I don't know. Maybe Saturday night?"

"I have work on Saturday night." Mom said. "Maybe Friday?"

"I'll ask him at school."

When Edward arrived at my house he was wearing a long cloak and a big floppy hat. He really didn't like the sun! We sat around the dinner table and we ate rare roast beef (My favorite cuz I like all the blood!) I guess it was Edward's favorite too cuz he really enjoyed it.

We went out on the porch after dinner to watch the sunset. I looked at my sparkly skin. It was so pretty, I thought. Just like a princess. I looked over at Edward.

His skin was sparkling too!

I gasped.

He must be a...a...a...

He smiled at me, and kissed my forehead. "You look just like a princess." He said.
