Chapter one: Regret
Roy Mustang dropped the empty bottle of liquor at his side as he tried to gain back his balance. "Damn" he cursed as the bottle shattered into a million pieces. He looked down at the floor, and at how much the mess remained him of himself. He had nothing to live for. It had been two years since Riza had been reassigned to the position as the Fuhrer's aide and two years since she had seemingly disappeared of the face of the earth. Roy's eye began to fill up with tears of regret. Regret that he didn't tell his lieutenant on that very last day he saw her that he loved her. He deeply regreted not protecting and starting a life with her away from the military were she would have been safe, safe in his arms. Roy knew she was somewhere out there and he wouldn't rest until he found her and held her safe in his arems. He just hoped that she was safe and in good health. He then stooped over and silently swept up the glass shards, he wondered if he scared Hayate into a hiding place. He disposed of the glass and went on looking for his loved ones pet.
