First Near and Mello story Probly last too. This story is for my new best friend on here. Naxia Mary Leonheart. Mello's POV. PS: there are spoilers in it, so if you havn't seen all of deathnote or at least till these people come in, stop reading this story.
I hated him. He was so perfect and I ended up falling in love with him. His name was Near. He had always done better then me at school, I was always the second best. My competion skills never made me just quit. Insted I tried hard to beat him. I started getting closer to him, you know the whole "know your enemy" thing. Except that just made me fall deeper in love with him. But this story isn't about hate, it's about love. It all started a week before L died.
"Mello," Near asaked me one afternoon." do you think Kira will ever be caught?"
I thought about that for a moment. "Yea, I do. L's working on the case and if theres a problem with him, there's always us." I smiled inching closer to the boy I loved.
"So you still havn't told me exactly who you like yet. All you've told me is you like someone." Near said changing the subject.
"I can't. You wont know unless we play truth or dare."
"Then let's play truth or dare."
"Okay dare." I said knowing his plan.
"I dare you to tell me who you like."
"But-" I started. I took a deep breath "I...like you, Near." I mumbled. and slowly looked up at him. Near thought for a moment, then looked up and kissed me. My eyes opened in shock at what he did. "what was that for?" I asked.
"You said you liked me too right?" Near asked.
"Wait, too?" I asked keying into what he said. Near liked me. He blushed at my question.
"Kinda" he mumbled. I kissed him The thought that he liked me made my veary happy.
That was the story if how we fell in love. The sad thing, was that just a few days later we broke up. The day after that, L died. Although I still loved him I lied and said I hated him. He had broken up with me. If he didn't like me I had to lie. I ended up breaking my ouw heart. But one day, one day he'd fall in love with me again.
