We get up early just to start cranking the generator
Finn arose early morning to see his best friend Noah in the bed next to him.
"Noah... Wake up... It's generator time..."
Our limbs have been asleep we need to get the blood back in 'em
"I can't feel my arms," Noah complained.
"I know, I know."
We're finding every day several ways that we could be friends
"You think someday we could be more than workmates?" Noah inquired, as the two cranked the generator.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, like, friends."
We keep on churning and the lights inside the house turned on
The two looked as the lights turned on in the house. Soon, a little boy would run out of that house, ready for school.
And in our native language we are chanting ancient songs
"Ah nee, mah boo, deela doon," Finn began. Noah continued, remembering the song.
"Meesha, no bee do, meek low bun."
And when we quiet down the house chants on without us
The rhythms of the house continued as the men stopped their generating.
