A/N: hey fanfiction people. I started this story so I would have something to do over the summer and to make people laugh. The reason why first chapter is so short is because I have finals tomorrow and I wanted to see if people would like it before I dedicate to this story. Enjoy the extremely small chappie :)

*death god world*

"Haha BITCH! I got 2 sleeping skulls I win again" says the victorious deathgod. "Ryuk why don't you get yo ass ova here instead of sitting in that little emo corner of yours..."

"No, it's not like anyone gets me, GOD!" yelled Ryuk as he threw his deathnote in a fit of rage into the human world. "Shit..."

*Human world*

Light was sitting in class blocking out his boring ass teacher and looking out the window. He suddenly sees a notebook drop next to the window. After the bell rings he goes to find it. He picks it up and starts to read it. "Whose name is written in this note book shall die. How fucking lame is that?" he walks away laughing to himself. 'Seriously its like one of those stupid chain letters.' he thought. He stopped walking. "I NEED THAT GOD DAMN NOTE BOOK!" he yells as he jumps on it.

He gets home and reads the rules. (a/n too lazy plus I'm sure you all know what they are). "Wow whoevrr is pulling this prank has no life, like seriously!" Then he turned on the news and started to wonder, ' If I write someone's name and they died, would that make me a murderer?... Not if I accidentally wrote it!' Then he pictured a criminals face, whom was conviniently on the news, and started writing. "oh no this pen is making me write this!" He sat back and watched the news and and found out that the deathnote works. "IT WAS THE PEN'S FAULT! I DIDNT DO IT!"

Five days later Light is laughing like a maniac at all the names in the book. Shortly, Ryuk appears out of no where next to Light. "Hey dude. My mom said that I had to come down here and stay with you for as long as you have the note book. She says I need to make friends, no one get me, GOD!"

"Ahhhh!" Light screams as he fell out of his chair

"yea yea I know I'm scary... I'm Ryuk, and judging by how much 'your pen' has made you write, I'm guessing you already know how to use the notebook. You shouldn't be surprised bro."

Then Light gets up . "I'm not surprised, Ryuk, in fact I've been waiting for you" he says with an evil smile.

"God, now you're scaring ME!"
