The Nagasaki Dream
Chapter One:
The sky that day was a stunning cobalt blue, white clouds drifting across the expanse like wisps of fantasy. Yami Atemu sat looking out of the window of a bus, tears flowing down his face like streams of water on an endless plain. He could never get rid of what he had left behind, nor could he control where he was going. He still remembers his six-year old daughter Calixte clinging to his leg, begging her daddy not to go. He had told her and Anzu that it was not their fault, not ever. It was just something he had to do.
Flashback
Atemu stood in front of the mirror, looking his reflection up and down. One bang was sticking out at an odd angle, so he fixed it with a little bit of hair gel. Ah, the marvel. Suddenly he noticed how stiff his shoulders felt. But why? He and Anzu had gone on dates before- I mean, they were married. His brother Yuugi stood in the doorway.
"Tense Atem?" He asked as the elder rolled his shoulders, to no avail.
"No….." He tried again. This time however, something did happen. White wings exploded out of his back, the force knocking him to the ground.
"Atemu! What the!"
"I don't know…please…don't tell Anzu"
"Alright Atem"
"Thank you"
Two days later he had left
End Flashback The Nagasaki Dream
It would have no good if they had found out. They would have been afraid, and our lives could never be normal. They don't know it but this is the better thing for all of us. So he set out, on the road to Nagasaki, where he heard the path to an angel's paradise lie.
