Sparkle

By lilacmelodies

Author's Note: I adore the character of Drusilla, and was toying around, trying to think of something to write, when I decided to write a poem from Drusilla's perspective. I know it's not very good, but this is my first attempt and I'd really appreciate some form of feedback. Thanks for taking the time to read this. : )

choke me

smother me

drench me in diamonds

let me sparkle so

as the night

collapses

around us.

save me

soothe me

steal me away from here

let me taste but a slick

of blood

and smile.

sing me a lullaby

the sweetest you have

and drown my sorrows

in pretty, twisted fairytales.

slit the throat

of his princess

oh so carefully

and watch

as the witch

rises from her bed of ash.

gingerbread house

with its windows of icing

fractured by my

fingernails.

let me die

just a little

inside your kiss

and throw the pieces

into the wind.

(watch me sparkle so.)
