Prologue:
The Beginning of Something New
I'm sorry I haven't written a story in awhile, but I'm back with an awesome story about wizards! I hope you enjoy and give me any suggestions about the story.
MERLIN'S POV
The Battle of Wizards is upon us. The world is divided–the side of Dark Wizards, and us, the ones who want this terror to end in our world. We are few where there are hundreds of thousands of these unstable magic users led by the evil Wizard of Darkness. Or, as we all know as Mortimer, the student exacting revenge on his once former teacher, Merlin–me."
This story takes place a thousand years before now. I will be telling you the story of how one of my best students turned into one of the most evil Dark Wizards in the whole wide world of wizards."
It all started with the final part of the Wizarding Exam, which Mortimer studied vigorously for. He practiced every spell in the entire Spell Book, which was impressive for a Wizard in Training. He was up for hours, even days, at a time, ready to be chosen for the chance to become a Master Wizard–which is a big feat for any young wizard ready to take on the world of magic and fight the bad wizards out in the world.
The day of the exam, Mortimer did all the spells right…except one–conjuring up light, a hard one to accomplish considering Mortimer was more powerful at conjuring up, what would soon be his most powerful conjure, darkness.
Only one student passed with a hundred percent passing grade. His name was Cornelius. He soon became the master of air and was named the Wizard of Air, and helped us fight the War of Wizards when the time came.
Mortimer was so furious with my choice that he came up with a plan to kill me and became a Master Wizard. That plan would have worked if only my fellow wizards hadn't helped me stop the Dark Wizards from destroying me and every other wizard that wasn't helping the cause of the Dark Wizards.
Years after we had won the War of Wizards, I was too old to fight any longer and chose four teenagers to defeat the evil Shadow of Darkness. These kids had to be able to stand up for themselves against him and be brave about it. So I choose these three teens: Xavier, smart but not always brave (which is what I'm looking for, but he can do some pretty amazing stuff), Michael, strong and as brave as a person could ever be, Scott, not as strong as Michael but just as brave, and John, just as strong and brave as Michael but is smart like Xavier.
These four will become the new Wizards of Elements. Four powers will be combined to stop the forces of the Dark Wizards: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
These four will put a stop to the Wizard of Darkness and all his minions from taking over the world and destroying every single wizard that stand against him.
