This is my first try at fanfic writing. I'm going to be doing a short-story spree of Avatar ships. I'll start of with the major ships (Kataang, Zutara, Tokka, Sukka, etc…), and then I'll start taking requests.
Kataang:
It was hard to believe that one year ago, she had pulled him from an iceberg. The goofy little airbender that he was then barely showed in who he was today. He was stronger, leaner, kinder, wiser. She thought about this as she watched him practicing waterbending, watching his muscles ripple under his skin.
"Aang!" Katara cried, jumping down from the rock ledge on which she sat. "Try this." She waterbended a complex pattern, and it looked like she was dancing with the water. "It's a way of defense, it gives almost complete coverage. Try it." Aang swirled his hands, mimicking her actions. They moved closer together, waterbending the complex dance. Katara felt herself blushing. She never really thought about how powerful of a bender he was lately. What had taken her weeks to learn, he mastered in an instant.
But the time when she would have been jealous, that time was long over. She was proud of him, proud of his accomplishments. She was proud that he had come so far, from not even knowing waterbending, to being so close to mastering all of the elements.
She looked at him, and their eyes met. His eyes were so perfectly gray, happy but wise, kind and caring but intense. She realized then that she had stopped waterbending, and let the water fall back into the knee-high pool. She reached towards him, and touched his shoulder.
"Katara?" Aang asked. "Are you okay?" He pulled her into a tight hug. She sighed, and wrapped her arms around him. He was so warm.
