"Hey, look, Jess, someone is moving in to Leslie's old house." May Belle said, pointing as the van drew up outside. A girl stepped out. Jess felt a stab in his chest. Her hair was blonde like Leslie's, although longer, to her shoulders. Her eyes were green, like Leslie's. She wore the same shoes Leslie did, but apart from that, she was different. Today she wore a light orange top, with a denim jacket over the top, and she wore skinny jeans.

"She's quite pretty." May Belle said, admiring her fashion sense.

Jess shrugged. He got alarmed though, when she started running with amazing speed down the path towards Terabithia.

May Belle noticed it too. Without a word, they both ran after the girl.

But when she got to Terabithia, she smiled. A golden bridge was in front of her. "Wow." She whispered, walking across it.

"Welcome to Terabithia, dear." A black and white cat was in front of her, purring and smiling.

"Who are you?" the girl asked.

"My name is Madison. And yours?"

"Amelia." The girl smiled.

"Follow me. Your future lies ahead." The cat started walking in the other direction.

"Hey!"

Amelia turned to see Jess, the boy who lived next door, running in with his sister.

She looked at the cat.

The cat smiled and then looked at Jess. "I apologize, your highness. But Amelia is to be the new queen."

Amelia looked perplexed. "But…" she said.

"No buts. It is foretold, you will become the only girl King Jess has fallen for." Madison purred.

Amelia and Jess both blushed. "Er…" Jess said.

"Come, Amelia." Madison walked a little further, Amelia followed her. Jess and May Belle went too.

A giant reached down and placed a crown on Amelia's head.

"Oh!" she whispered. "It's beautiful!" she said.

Jess smiled.

"You shall go to the school prom, Amelia." Madison encouraged.

"Oh, I forgot about that!" Jess said, laughing a bit.

"But Madison…" Amelia began.

"It's okay, we'll help you get ready!" Madison said. A lot of Terabithians nodded eagerly.

The night of the prom, Jess stood in the hall. He was waiting for Amelia.

"She looks beautiful!" someone whispered. Everyone, including Jess, looked to the stairs.

There stood Amelia, wearing a beautiful white dress with white roses around the waist. She was wearing white shoes with roses on the end and small heels.

Jess smiled. "She does, doesn't she." He muttered to May Belle, who had been the one who had said Amelia looked beautiful.

Amelia walked down to them nervously. "Does it look okay?" she asked.

"It looks beautiful." Jess said.

Amelia smiled at him.
