Hey everyone. This story was written for September Event: Back to School on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I used prompt 26. Broom Cupboard. Another bit fluff for my new favorite pairing James/Regulus. Is companion piece to Nerves. This takes place one month after that. Warning for boy on boy groping. I hope you all enjoy One Mont's Change.
Regulus pulled James after him down the hallway that the Slytherin Common Room was on knowing that if his house mates caught sight of him and his Gryffindor boyfriend they'd be toast. He and James had been dating for about a month now since that day in the Courtyard and it was the best month of Regulus' life.
"Reg," James panted trying to get him to stop running, "where are we going?"
"Somewhere more private," he tells James spotting a broom cupboard up ahead. He pulls James into the broom closet his heart pounding in his chest. He's never been alone with James before. They've always gone places where there is a large group of people surrounding them.
"Reg," James's voice is a laugh, "why are we in broom cupboard? Don't you fi..."
Regulus presses his lips against James' silencing the older boy effectively. He feels James Potter melt into the kiss and he wants to take their relationship to the next level. He wants to so bad he can feel it. He pulls away from the older boy panting for breathe.
A smile spreads over James' face because Regulus must have silently communicated his need to James. He shakes his head in teasing manner. "Now, now, Reg," he taunts. "we've only been dating a month now."
Regulus pouts at this. Moving to capture the other boy's lips again. Hoping to persuade him to change his mind by just kissing him into submission. Regulus hears James moan against his lips as his hands roam over the older boy's body.
"Reg, I'm not ready for that. Not yet."
And Regulus knows that's the truth because he hear in James' voice. So he will settle for a heated make out and grope session in the broom cupboard and maybe once James is ready he'll be able find someplace more comfortable for them to go.
