Rin exited her room with a heavy sigh, today was long.
Record long hours of music.
Chill with Miku and Gumi.
Record more long, tiring music.
Rin messed with the hem of her arm warmers and gently stretched out on the couch. She could hear the slight noise of Kaito's noisy playstation, Miku laughing in Luka's room as they read their manga, and Meiko sleeping from her hangover.
One sound not heard, though. Rin realeased her own sympathy of her day and looked up the stairs.
Len.
She rushed up the stairs, unable to resist barging into Len's room. The deep orange bed sheets, the photos of Len and her singing and playing. The albums and CD's sprawled across the floor. Rin sighed, nothing touched or moved.
She went to Miku and Luka first. " Have you seen Len-kun?"
They looked blankly at her. " No, Rin-chan."
Then Kaito. " Kaito, I can't find Len-kun."
He paused the game and shruged. She sighed, not even trying Meiko.
Rin sat alone in Len's room, her robotic heart heaving every minute. Where is he? He was here this morning... Rin pulled her eternally pale knees up to her chest. The photos were scattered everywhere. Their kimonos for Revolution, the brionche of Servant of Evil, the passion of Magnet, and the sorrow of Kiseki. Rin listened out for his voice in the distance, the way he always let his hair down just before he was about to have a pillow fight with her, and the way he scarfed down his bananas. Rin missed her twin brother.
"Where are you Len-kun?" She called out silently. Her voice shivering, cold for his melody. " Where did you go?"
Rin sat up, not being able to sit in there anymore. She slowly forced herself down the stairs, before finally sitting on the last step. She began to feel something being taken from her, a feeling she's never felt. It felt like a part of her heart being cut into peices, the hollow melody of her song filling up the room. She sang for hours on that last step. Everyone heard her sorrowful song, but no one came down. Rin closed her tired eyes and tried to call out to him.
" Len!" She finally screamed, pulling herself into a ball and sobbing. The clock said: 3:46 AM. She couldn't push herself anymore, and ran out into the front yard. Her clothes stained with tears, her flourcent hair glowing in the moonlight.
Like the quick change of spring to summer, a muffeled snore was heard from above Rin's head. She wiped her eyes and glanced upward.
"Len!" She said smiling with all the feeling in her numb body. Sitting in the lemon tree, was a juice stained, sleeping Len. His pony tail had been let down, and his leg dangeled from the branch. He shook slightly, and Rin's heart sang out. " I missed you so much!"
Len rubbed his eyes and gave her a yawn. He grinned widely and said cheerfully, " Rin-chan! I was just picking lemons for you, but it got so late..."
