I ONLY OWN VALERIA (VAL) NAVARRO, PENELOPE (PENNY) NAVARRO, CECELIA (CECE) WEISS, TOBY EMERSON, NATHAN (NATE) EMERSON, AND CHASE HENDERSON

Everything always comes around to be one giant cliche.

Boring, Oregon is exactly what the city is. Boring.

Boring High School is so stereotypical that the lunch tables are divided up by different stereotypes.

Every single class that I have has either one, or two, or all of my friends (boyfriend included), while everyone else is just a giant asshole.

So it was no surprise that I was resting my head down on my hand as the teacher turns on the television to the student news broadcast.

"Good morning, BHS. I'm Jessica Betts." the peppy bitch, Jessica, had started. "And I'm Scott Pocket." the pervy asshole, Scott, added in. "And here are your morning announcements for Friday, September 27, 1996." Jessica continued.

I yawned as both Jessica and Scott had droned on with the announcements. I was dozing off and then I heard Whoomp, There It Is by Tag Team. Someone in the mascot's uniform was dancing in front of Scott and Jessica. The person in the mascot uniform is none other than Principal Messner.

"That's right. Principal Messner, here. Wishing you a happy Friday. And thanking you for a spirit-filled first week back at school. And for all of you Freshman out there, I can't wait to get to know ya." he started off.

"Poor Penny." One of my good friends, Toby Emerson, muttered to me, to which I snickered at. My little sister, Penny, is starting high school this year and she is at AV Club right now. "You're telling me." I muttered back to him.

"Anyway, we're off to a super start, so let's keep it up. Back to you, Jessica and Scott." Principal Messner said as he was now out of frame. "Thank you, Principal Messner." Scott said, containing his laughter in. "For lunch today, corn dogs and tater tots. Do you like corn dogs, Jessica Betts?" Scott asked.

"Ugh, there he goes again." I said as I planted my face on the table. Toby slid his book in front of my face to soften up the blow and just rubs my back. This would happen everytime on the school announcements. Scott would make some pervy joke to Jessica and it makes me sick to my stomach.

"No. In world news, President Clinton has signed the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as one man and one woman." Jessica said. "Well, that's a shame, because I was gonna marry a burrito…." Scott droned on and I was dozing off again and then the feedback was cutting back, causing everyone in the classroom to cover our ears. That had seem to go on for-fucking-ever. "Fuck!" I heard Scott say and then it all stopped.

"And those are your morning announcements. Have a boring day!" Jessica said with a fake smile plastered onto her face. "If I didn't get enough of a headache." Toby said. Thankfully, class went by fast because the bell rang.

"So, are we gonna meet up with CeCe, Nate, and asshole, by the way?" Toby asked as we grabbed our stuff and left the classroom. "Okay, you really need to lay off Chase." I said, defending my boyfriend, who happens to be a musician, like myself, yet I prefer to be on musicals and he prefers to play music on his guitar.

"Lay off him? Val, he's a scumbag. He literally hovers over you." my cynical friend says. "So what if he's a little possessive?" I asked. "A little? A little is more of an understatement." Toby muttered as we continue to venture our way through the cafeteria to find our friends.

We have always been more of an artistic/creative select group. Cecelia, or CeCe, Weiss is one of my good friends and is very artistic through her paintings and sketches. She unfortunately has to deal with Emaline Addario and Oliver Schermerhorn because she has to paint the sets for the Drama Club production of Uncle Vanya.

Nathan, or Nate, Emerson is Toby's twin brother and he takes photos for the school paper, which Toby writes. Nate is very detailed and he focuses on the aesthetic and beauty within his photos. Speaking of Toby, I did just mention that he does write for the newspaper and is our resident author. Every English class that we take, he aces at it and has a high chance of becoming a best-selling author through the details that he puts through stories and

Chase and I have been dating for almost a year. He is a senior this year, so he is getting scholarships from universities in California and New York because of his involvement within football. I knew that it might end in some inevitable way, but I am confident enough to make it through with him.

"Hey, Val." CeCe said to me as Toby and Nate did some secret handshake. "I missed you, baby." Chase said, grabbing me by the waist and clinging onto me. "Babe, it's only been an hour." I said as I placed my hands on the back of his neck and stroked the spot where his hair and neck meet. "That's too fucking long." he whined out as he only held me tighter.

"I spotted Penny today." Chase whispered in my ear. "How is she holding up?" I asked. Because of all of the AP classes that I am taking, it is rare enough to see Penny during school. "She's fine. She already made friends with Messner's daughter." he told me, heavily implying that she is already close with Kate Messner. "The good thing is that she is already making friends."

All of the sudden, it all got silent. "You think I'm some kind of slut?" I heard Emaline Addario ask, overdramatically. "No. I know you're a slut, slut." Oliver Schermerhorn said, the same overdramaticness as she did. "Here we go again." Nate muttered to Toby, who had facepalmed.

Oliver and Emaline are….what do you call it….overdramatic.

They are too delusional to know that they are not good actors and will never make it big, especially Emaline with all of the overdramatic acting that she did within the plays, well according to CeCe. They always do these shows that everyone is forced to watch. I always knew that Emaline is a huge bitch, through all the pain and torment she places upon poor CeCe, but Oliver is a whole other story.

I knew him.

He was my best friend, though I was a year younger than him. Our big dreams and aspirations had what brought us so close. When Oliver was about to go into high school, he promised me that he would never abandon me and would always be my friend.

Enter in the first week of high school.

My parents' work were becoming so frequent that overtime, they would forget to come home, leaving me to take care of Penny, who was about 12 at the time. And to top it all of that, Oliver completely ignored me because he had a reputation he cared about more than his friendship that had lasted for seven years.

He just abandons me right out of the blue.

I was able to repair myself up into the ice bitch that I am, thanks to CeCe, Nate, Toby, and Chase.

Ever since that, Oliver and I haven't spoken to each other in two years, well three because I was in 8th grade and he was a freshman when his popularity was growing.

"Thou hast slept with another." Oliver continued. "Untwist thy tongue. What merchant of deceit hath sold you such untruths?" Emaline continued. "I would." Toby muttered and all of us are now trying to contain our laughter, and it was coming out in chuckles.

"In thy sleep when thou didst dream, thou didst chirp infidelities!" Oliver says. "Forsooth! But dreamers often lie, asleep in a trance! As boys and men alike ask me into their pants!" Emaline says. "Mm-hmm. Counterfeit! Thou hast made me do this, you bitch!" Oliver said as he pretended to stab himself with a plastic knife and is pretending to play dead.

"No!" Emaline screamed as she grabbed a corndog from someone's lunch. "Dagger! I am thy scabbard." she said as she had pretended to slit her throat with a corn dog. After a little while of everyone being confused, Emaline and Oliver got up from the ground. "Scene." Oliver said as they got up.

"I'm Oliver Schermerhorn." Oliver introduced himself. "And I'm Emaline Addario." Emaline introduced herself. "And remember, auditions for Uncle Vanya will be held next Wednesday in the auditorium. This could be you." Oliver said. "We are obviously playing the leads, but lesser roles and crew positions remain available!" Emaline said.

"Join us!" the two said together and everyone started applauding them. Everyone but Chase, Toby, Nate, CeCe, and I. The two proceed to make out and the cheers are louder. "And that's our cue to get out of here." Toby said as we all pack up our stuff and left the cafeteria.

Thankfully, the day went by quick and we are now leaving school. I was over by my locker and from the corner of my eye, I spot Penny. "Hey, Pen. How's the first day?" I ask. "All right, but weird." she admitted. "What made it so weird?" I asked. "Do they always do that?" she asked. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Oliver and Emaline, is it? Are they always that overdramatic?" she asked.

"You, dear sister, are lucky that you only have to deal with them for this year. I had to deal with them for two years." I said. "See you when you get home?" Penny asked. "Yeah." I replied as we high fived and we both went our separate ways.

I made my way to Chase's locker. "Hey, you almost ready to go?" I asked. "Yeah, just give me a moment." he said as he was getting his stuff and then he turned back to me with a charming smile. "Now, I'm ready." he said as he dipped his head down and began kissing my neck. "Chase, we are in public. People are gonna stare." I said, giggling. Chase pulls away from my neck and we rubbed our noses together. "Let them. Everyone will know that you're mine." he said as we connected our lips together.

"Let's go." he said and I left the school with him, with his arm wrapped around my shoulder.

*3rd POV*

Unbeknownst to Valeria Navarro, the drama king was staring at the girl with a longing look. Because of that, he was sent a deadly glare from Chase.

Oliver Schermerhorn then realized that it was too late to get the girl known as Valeria Navarro.
