I own nothing all rights go to J.K Rowling (who I am not)

There were times in Ron's life when he really didn't know how he'd got so lucky; he hadn't downed any full glasses of felix felicis as far as he was aware.

He lay now in his bed, his wife mere inches away, breathing a slow almost melodic tune. He watched as her small frame rose and fell with every intake of air, her mind at peace in the world of dreams. Only days ago she had presented him with the greatest gift ever to grace the Earth. She'd given him a Rose.

Not just any Rose, don't be fooled by the common name of a beautiful flower, but their Rose. A Rose more beautiful than any plant ever to sprout from the Earth's crust. This Rose had a more magnificent red on its head than any blooming flower found growing in the wild. Their daughter lay just metres away in another room, Rose Weasley, centre of her father's universe. She'd be a Rose with thorns of course, but those thorns would only make her more special and true to her parents. There's be a thorn for arguments sake; so like her mother she'd never back down for what she knew was right (even if it meant creating SPEW mark II). Then a thorn for stubbornness; because no child of Ron and Hermione Weasley could ever not be stubborn.

As Ron lay thinking, his train of thought was disturbed by the cry of a small infant not far off. Hermione stirred beside him, mumbling in semi-consciousness about it being 'his turn'.

Ron was quick to turn down the covers and, even though already partly awake, managed to find the activity of getting out of bed much more tiring than it should have been. Maybe it was the fact that Ron and Hermione's little miracle had about as much sense of time as a gnome that had just been thrown fifty yards. Still as Ron bent over his daughters crib he couldn't help noticing just how beautiful his Rose was.

So I don't know if you call this fluff but I think that's basically what it is, something I found at the back of my mind while I was trying to get to sleep. So even though it's pretty pointless I'd still appreciate reviews!
