This is just a little prologue to a drabble series I'm doing. Family shenanigans shall commence in the next chapter

-BREAK HERE-

Life is a chain of events, and all events are coincidence. Some events can be affected and pushed to work out, but nothing is ever set in stone...

They were arguing. It seemed like that was happening a lot. Fury was beginning to wonder if this would really be ok. Tony and Steve were on the verge of an all-out brawl, Natasha was yelling at them both and Bruce was looking quite pale. Thor was hovering over him, worried for his new friend. Fury leaned back against the window and sighed. This was not turning out the way he expected.

...Ok well, it was turning out how he expected, just not how he wanted.

It was at that very moment a few things happened. Hawkeye crashed in through the window, Loki transported himself to the room to watch the fireworks from behind a cabinet, a lab technician was walking down the hallway outside the room pushing a cart of test tubes and beakers, and the explosion was set off.

The explosion rocked the whole ship, causing Fury to tumble out of the hole in the window onto the wing, the cabinet Loki was hiding behind to fall and roll across the room, and the Lab tech to trip, knocking over the cart and sending the phials flying, shattering and splashing everyone in the room with their contents.

It should at this point be noted that the cart contained the experiments from research being done on a species of jellyfish. Or more specifically a single trait of this type of jellyfish. When under stress in its environment, it reverts its own aging process. And the results of these untested experiments were drenching the avengers and one emotionally confused criminal.

All of these chemical solutions mixing with the air and peoples' skin began creating a smoky fog. By the time Fury managed to climb back into the aircraft, the smog was beginning to dissipate and shapes were becoming visible. Fury stared uncomprehendingly at the forms crawling around on his floors.

Sighing again he quickly pick up a tiny and overly curious Tony who had been wandering a little too close the broken glass, before calling agent Coulson. He looked back down at the familiar children and covered his face to stifle the oncoming groan.

"This... is very bad."
