Lacy here. I'm so sorry for going poof! My writing, for my normal stories, has gone poof! See? Everything is going poof! I'm gonna try and get back on my normal posting schedule with everything. For now, we've got a kinda short OD for The Eyes Have It. Pretty much it's Emily's reaction to the first case with Morgan in charge and Aaron's Super Man stunt at the end. Have fun!

Disclaimer: I own Mattie.

Emily did her best to hold her tongue during the case. She wasn't used to being partnered away from Aaron so much. She knew things would be different with Morgan in charge but the whole team was aware of how well Aaron and Emily worked together on cases. It wasn't just because they were together, it had started long before that. So it made no sense to Emily why Morgan would split them up.

Emily sighed as the elevator climbed higher. She was back at the office, with Mattie, because Aaron had yet to come home. So she figured she'd use their daughter to get him out of the office. Was it a low move? Yes. But if it stopped Aaron from falling asleep at his desk, Emily could live with it.

The doors opened and Emily made her way through the bullpen, Mattie's little eyes darting all over the place, and up to Aaron's office door. She entered without knocking and almost laughed at the startled look Aaron gave her that quickly became guilty.

"Tell me," Emily said. "what did the clock say the last time you looked at it?"

Aaron cleared his throat. "Six fifteen."

Emily nodded. "And now?"

Aaron glanced at his watch and couldn't hold back a wince. "Quarter after ten."

Emily shifted Mattie. "And what time is our daughter supposed to be in bed?"

"Seven." Aaron said.

"One last question." Emily said. "Who does she fall asleep for?"

Aaron sighed. "Me."

Emily settled into one of the guest chairs. "If I didn't know what a hard time you were having right now, you'd be spending the night with Dave and JJ." she sighed. "You gotta come home, Aaron. You can't keep burying yourself in Foyet's files."

Aaron leaned back, dropping his pen on his desk. "I know I can't but I feel like every moment I'm not looking for him, I'm letting Jack and Haley down."

"You could never let them down." Emily said. "None of us are. This entire team is spending every spare minute they have looking for Foyet. But at the same time, we know we have to take care of ourselves and our family."

Aaron saw Mattie watching him from her mother's arms. He stood up and took the little girl and started walking around his office, bouncing her gently, just like he did at home.

"You know, I'm pretty sure if our latest unsub could see you right now," Emily said. "he'd wonder how on earth you took him down."

Aaron laughed. "I'm sure if any of our unsubs saw me right now, they'd be thinking that." he looked at Emily. "Of course, I wasn't the only one doing out of character things today. A window, Em?"

Emily smiled. "I was letting out a bit of frustration towards our temp unit chief."

Aaron nodded, bouncing Mattie a bit more gently as the little girl faded. "So you noticed what he was doing too."

Emily shrugged. "Kind of hard not to."

Aaron handed the now sleeping baby back to Emily and knelt next to her chair. "We'll get through this. It's not forever."

Emily leaned her head against Aaron's. "I know."

Okay, we went from happily digging Aaron a hole to serious to joking again and back to serious. Damnit, I was aiming for light and fluffy. *sighs* Oh well, it's short, which is one thing I wanted. Let me know what you think, flame policy stands and thanks for reading.
