Joan stood at her locker in a fowl mood. Today had not been a good, and with the hectic weekend she had had, with homework, Rocky's funeral, and trying to help Adam. At least everything had worked out, for everyone else. Adam still wouldn't talk to her, or so she thought, and her family still agreed she was a lunatic.
Adam slowly walked over to Joan. He didn't know why he was doing this but it seemed like a good thing to do at the moment.
"Remember when you said I could talk to you?" he asked shyly.
"Yeah, but now isn't really a good time, I am kind of busy." She said as she turned and started to walk down the hallway.
Without thinking Adam asked, "Is 'Jane' busy too?"
