Daein Soliders' Victory Song

So pale is he, the only son of the king gone mad.
But the Mad King passed away, and for that, Daein is glad.

See our new-crowned ruler, with his head of purple hair.
See our Prince Pelleas, see him standing there!

See his head hung downward, see him humbly blush.
To see our new king lowly—it almost is too much!

Let's tell him of his might! Let's tell him what he's done!
Tell him that from no foe shall the king of Daein run!

Now he stands before us as we go to take the throne.
Soon our mighty Prince will return to Daein—home!

In the keep of Daein, enthroned, he will remain.
The future shall be glorious, despite our present pain.

Combat burns within us, and fury in our hearts.
Our enemies wield arrows; we dodge the cold death darts.

For onward we must stumble; no time to think we'll fail.
Our Prince will soon be high; but for now, we soldiers wail.

Amidst the dead and dying, we raise our Daein spears,
Chanting, "the Maiden and the Prince!" to anyone who hears.

On this very day, we have beaten cruel Begnion.
We may grieve for a time, but the evil is now gone!
