He leaned against her chest, eyes half closed in happiness. She had her wrists crossed over his chest, and was looking down at his serene face. She leaned forward to gently kiss him on the forehead, hair flopping in his face, and he opened his eyes to stare into hers. When she leant back again he murmured softly, "I really do love you, River."

"I know."

"I mean it."

He shifted until he was sitting beside her, staring again into her emerald eyes, and said "I know that sometimes you think that I don't love you that much. That you love me more than I do you. But trust me, times like this-" The corner of his mouth turned up. "You really don't." She kissed him again, twice- one full-on the lips, and one gently on the cheek. He turned the last one into a long hug, and she whispered gently in his ear, "Thank you." When they finally broke apart, they were holding hands and looking at the sky.

"There is one thing that you haven't explained, though."

"What?"

She laughed at the sudden alarm on his face. "Usually, we go somewhere special, like a nebula, or a meteor shower, or..." She trailed off.

He smirked. "This time, I brought the special thing with me." He kissed her on the forehead, before moving back to lie down and hold hands. After a few minutes, she noticed that his breathing had slowed down, his eyes closed. When she awoke he was still holding her hand, watching as the sun slowly moved over the pink horizon.
