Moving her sunglasses up from her eyes and resting them on her head, Hannah ran a finger down Nancy's stomach, a playful smile creeping onto her lips as Nancy's body instinctively moved closer and her eyes slowly opened. Shifting her own body so she was facing the teen, she stretched out further on the grass. "You alright?"
Nancy allowed a brief smile to cross her face, nodding gently before allowing her eyes to flutter back shut. "You?"
"Yeah, I'm good." Hannah responded, entwining her fingers with Nancy's as the pair slipped back into a comfortable silence. After watching the peaceful figure next to her for a few moments, the blonde pulled her sunglasses back down to cover her eyes once more.
"What time are you picking Charlie up?"
"In an hour or so. Frankie won't mind if I'm a bit late. She enjoys spending time with him and she's not going out." Nancy informed, snuggling into Hannah's shoulder. "I like this, don't wanna move for a while."
Hannah – lying on her stomach – grinned, placing a quick peck on her companion's lips before reaching for her can and taking a swig of coke. "What do you think she'd say if she could see us now?"
Nancy paused. "Put some sun cream on?" she replied, the corners of her lips curling into a smile. "You're burning." She pointed out, her girlfriend's exposed tanned skin becoming slightly pink.
The blonde rolled her eyes, picking up the lotion and passing it to Nancy. "Do my back."
Nancy grinned, taking the bottle. "Seriously? I think she'd like that we're happy."
"Even after saying we wouldn't last?"
"That was back in May!"
"Three months down the line and she still hasn't apologised." Hannah pointed out.
Nancy paused from massaging the cream into her back, "I think she's too embarrassed to. But she's accepted it, I think."
"I guess." Hannah conceded, shifting her towel, glancing briefly over to the play area to see half a dozen children from the local first school running through the gate. "Think school's finished." She commented, smiling briefly.
"That's the first week back after the summer for you. Kid's can't wait to get back down to the swings." Nancy replied, clicking the sun cream bottle shut and handing it back to Hannah before lying back down. "It's alright, we're safe- we have bars separating us!"
Hannah grinned; rolling onto her side once again and running her left hand down Nancy's hip. "They're not that bad!"
"I know," Nancy replied with a broad smile, "I just prefer knowing they're in a makeshift cage!" she joked, softly kissing the blonde. "Come on, let's go get an ice-cream."
Hannah found herself pulled to standing by her girlfriend – Nancy having jumped to her feet. "Sounds good." Hannah commented, wrapping her arms around Nancy, resting her hands in the small of her back as she kissed her. "Come on." She said, pulling back, taking Nancy's hand in her own after picking up their towels.
