Sat surveying the scene below her, Narcissa smirked to herself before settling back into her seat at the teacher's table in the Great Hall. Another term had arrived and she would have a full year of teaching now, able to start from scratch. No more carrying on from what others had taught them. No, she'd be able to do what she liked now.
And the school was safe. She'd even announced this to the Daily Prophet. Something she wasn't so keen on was McGonagall, but the woman could be sorted.
Her article in the newspaper had publicised her efforts as Governor of Education and boasted of a school made safe and sound. She had experienced a small hiccup during the Masquerade Ball, when Fenrir Greyback had attempted to devour one of her students, but nobody knew about that little blip. Not even Lucius.
Now she was more confident than ever about how safely she'd protected the school. She saw it as her achievement and she said as much in the article. No mention of the other teachers. Just her contribution as Governor of Education to ensure the safety of the community's children.
She glanced around and noticed the lack of the three Monroe children, but they would arrive soon enough. They were currently being instructed on the ways of Hogwarts School life, since only one of them had been educated at a magical school, and even then a completely different environment to the castle situated in Scotland. But Narcissa knew they would be just fine.
Of course they would. They had her protection.
