(Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans.)

SEE-MORE'S POV

I stand in the dark road, looking down at her. Her once-pink hair now seems closer to red. She died with a smile on her face, at least that much can be said.

I know that death is part of life, but that is a fact that I don't understand. Death is death, not life. The enchantress didn't deserve this. Bad luck must have found her, just like her powers found so many others.

Jinx, I miss you. Jinx, I loved you.

The world feels empty. People pass by. They stop and stare at her limpness, but none of them know who she was or what happened.

Earlier today, we were happy, joking. I was the one who was supposed to pick her up from the bus station and show her where are new hideout is. I was supposed to take her back to the rest of the H.I.V.E. Five - a visit of sorts - but she never got that far.

A woman looks down at the blood and gasps. Quickly, she puts her hand in front of her daughter's eyes. I stand there, unable to hold in the tears coming to my eye.

Jinx was getting off her train; we met up and began talking. We were both very happy to see each other. She told me that being a Titan was fun and that I should join her. She told me that she knew that I wasn't meant to be a villain.

Police, an ambulance; everyone rushes around her taking her, getting rid of the blood. I want to scream 'Don't take her!' but I can't. They have to take her. I run towards them, just to see her once more, just to see that permanent smile implanted on her face.

"Maybe I will," I had told her."Maybe I will." People had begun rushing for a train that was pulling leaving the station. They were pushing and shoving through the crowds. The train was still pulling out when a young man in a very big rush ran into her. She lost her balance. She tittered. I tried to grab her, but she fell down into the tracks. The train chugged into her, hitting her, killing her. The man ran into the train. He didn't know what he did. He didn't know that he killed her.

We shouldn't have been so close to the edge. I should have been quicker to grab her. Now she's gone.

I stand there crying. I know what I have to do. I leave the station and look at the distant T. I begin walking towards it. Once I get there, I'll ask the question, I'll join the team. I'll be a Titan because, in the end, that's what made her smile – the thought of me joining her on the team. Too bad I'll never join her, but at least I can make her smile in the sky.

At least she died with a smile on her face.
