... O.o

I... I don't know what actually bring me to write this, but I just feel like writing it... because it was funny to see Gajeel's obsession on cat... Uhh, yes, I'm still a noob, so if it's bad I'm terribly sorry! :)

Fairy Tail

© Hiro Mashima

It was his one happy day on his life.

That day of everyone's return to the Earthland. A quite painful experience it was, yet it worth with the results at the end. The members of Edoras Fairy Tail were greatly taken aback the moment when magic started to perish from the world, but it seemed they could finally accept the fact and live with it.

Extalia brought peace to human, although the eksheeds were dragged along to the Earthland by the anima. It was a pity that Mystogan has to stay in order to keep Edoras organized. With the extinction of their magic, they will rely on their only prince of the kingdom. Most misunderstanding had been cleared and the eksheeds intended to establish a good term of relationship with Earthland's human.

But for Gajeel, the best part of the happy end was the fact that the eksheeds were also 'accidentally' sent to the Earthland. No, he doesn't care about the eksheed, truthfully. They could go eat fish, celebrate the end of the fight or do whatever they want. But this one particular eksheed had pulled some deep interest in him, excited him with its unique features. Hell, this little guy even said he'd join Fairy Tail to serve his highness Mystogan. Gajeel never felt happier on his life.

Part of him showed some pride. Why? Now Salamander and new girl will no longer outdone him. Not in strength and magic power, he was pretty damn confident he was superior on those aspects. No, not that. It was the cats they have in possession. Not ordinary cats in species like angoras, tabbies, Himalayans or Persians. He wanted those cats with wings, the eksheeds. He was jealous, jealous that he was the only dragon slayer who doesn't have a cat. He'll never frankly admit that feeling, seeing his metal-like attitude and behavior, not to mention: stubborn.

Pantherlily has shrunk, in size, literally. That didn't change Gajeel's mind to have him as his cat, though. He wanted a cat, desperate enough that he'll tear up and rummages dark alleys even got scratched by a cat.

Pretty pathetic actually, the strongest Phantom Lord mage and the infamous dragon slayer nicknamed Kurogane went into such troubles for a cat. Then again, this great Gajeel was one of the Fairy Tail mage. Even though he looked sane when entered, sadly, Fairy Tail's stupidity was contagious. If he was still a member of Phantom, will he complain over such thing like 'cats'?

"I want to join the guild that his highness was helping out. As promised, you better let me in… Gajeel."

After hearing the last sentence, he actually shed tears of joy and hugged him tightly like a stuffed animal. Sinking in his own happiness, he ignored Lucy's amused expression beside him. Not like he cares anyway, he finally has his own cat.

"Of course, my cat!"

Yes, his cat.

That happy day of his was the day he finally have his very own cat.
