AN: So my first Gallagher Girls fan fiction didn't go as well as I'd hoped and while there is no real reason that this one will be any better, the idea has been playing around in my mind so I'm posting it. Also, this is set somewhere in Out of Sight Out of Time some time after Cammie came back and after she eavesdropped with Zach. Tell me what you think, please.

Cammie Morgan was still awake. It was 3:47 in the morning and she was still awake. She sat up in bed and pushed her blond hair out of her face. She didn't want to wake her room mates, but if she got up it was bound to happen. Especially because of that new shocking system Bex had hooked up to her bed. Still, she couldn't stay in bed any longer or her head would explode.

Forty- five minutes later Cameron Ann Morgan was standing triumphantly at the foot of her bed. She tiptoed quietly across the floor toward the door.

"Hayah!" Bex said in her sleep and Cammie turned toward her fully expecting to be caught, but Bex was snoring again. Cammie turned to Liz who had kicked her blanket onto the floor (it was particularly hot in the room that night) and then to Macey who was sleeping on her back silently.

"I'm not going anywhere guys," Cammie whispered though they were all asleep. "Just down stairs to the kitchen- maybe." Cammie placed her hand on the door knob. It shouldn't be this easy she thought. They should have some kind of back up system. But it didn't appear as though they did and unless Zach was roaming the halls again (which he probably was) Cammie was free to go anywhere, so she turned the door knob stepped out into the hall- and tripped.

Her foot had connected with something large and she'd flipped over it and slammed her back into the ground. That wasn't what freaked her out though. What freaked her out was how fast the thing she tripped on- the person rather- was on top of her. She tried to scream but whoever it was put their hand over her mouth.

"What are you doing, Gallagher Girl?" Zach asked. Wait, Zach?

"Mmmmh!" Cammie tried to speak but couldn't and squirmed until he removed his hand from her mouth and got off of her.

"Are you okay?" He pulled her into a sitting position. "Are you hurt? Did you hit your head?" And then his voice took on a more panicked tone. "Cammie, where were you going?"

"Shh!" She whispered standing. She poked her head into her room and once she was satisfied no one had been woken, she shut the door. Then, she sat back down. "I'm fine. I'm not hurt. I did hit my head. And I was going to the kitchen." Even in the dark she could see Zach narrow his eyes at her.

"Why are you awake?" he asked.

"I couldn't sleep," Cammie replied. "And now it's my turn: why are you sleeping in the hallway?" Zach turned his head away before answering.

"I- my room is… hot and it's cooler here in the hallway." Yea right.

"Why would you sleep in front of a door, though?"

"Go back to sleep, Cammie," he answered standing and pulling her to her feet.

"But-"

"Just go," And with that he opened the door and gently pushed her through.

Macey was sitting up in her bed when she entered.

"That boy is so in love with you," was all she said before she laid down and closed her eyes.

Three days later at 2:30 in the morning, Cammie got up and opened the door to the hallway. Zach was lying on the ground with a very thin blanket. The thermostat read sixty in the hallway and he looked rather cold. Cammie smiled as she placed another blanket over him.

"Still cold in your room, Zachy?" She whispered. She kissed him on the cheek and then stood. "I love you too, by the way." And then she went back into her room.

She missed the small smile that appeared on his face a moment later.

AN: I don't know how fond of that I was, but I'm not really good at writing fluff. Tell me what you thought.
