Hi everyone! ^_^ This is my first Sasuke/OC story...it's modern/Au...I've had this idea for awhile, and honestly I don't like Sasusaku at all, because I don't like Sakura at all...so, yeah ;) pairings will be basic...naruhina, because who doesn't love naruto? :D I honestly don't like hinata much either but she's in here for Naruto's sake ;) If you don't agree or like it, please do read. I do not tolerate negativity...also there is side Itachi/OC (a different one) Also, it may switch between japanese and english, i'm no expert :p I will try my best to keep everyone in character, to make my OC's realistic and not Mary Sue (forgive me if I do, I'm not the best :p)

Without further ado, I introduce to you my fellow readers, 'Elastic Heart' :)

I do not own Naruto, only my OC's, don't like, don't read...

Enjoy!

The morning started off as any other for him.

Wake up, take a shower, brush teeth, go downstairs and eat his mother's breakfast. Listen to his father ramble on and on about the company with his brother, an average day for him.

He'd numbly walk outside to see his best friend, (Though he'd never admit that out loud) Naruto Namikaze and they'd walk to school together. He had to wait another year in order to get his license, and he didn't bother asking his brother or mother for a ride. He'd stare ahead, into nothingness as Naruto rambled on and on about ramen, about how his family was expecting a new addition, or about how pretty he thought the annoying Haruno was-

Whatever. It wasn't like he paid attention to anything.

If you were to live the life of Uchiha Sasuke, you'd think to yourself how incredibly lucky you are. For the amazing house, rich family, popularity and friends, good looks, the list goes on and on. But no one seems to get it...not his mother, not his brother, not Naruto, anyone...

Seemed to understand how...empty he felt. The hole in his heart that seemed to be never filled.

One might call him ungrateful. How can someone with as much as he had, be so unhappy? He couldn't help it, it was just something he was used to. There was no pinpointing it really.

It wasn't his family. His mother showered him with affection each second of the day, his college-aged brother irritated him at times, but they loved each other nonetheless. His father...that was a different story.

His friends were okay. Naruto was loud, cheerful, and annoying, but a small part of Sasuke enjoyed being around the blond knucklehead. Sakura was an annoying nuisance, always bugging him to go out with her. But, he tried to tolerate her, although most times he wanted to superglue her mouth shut. His other friend, weren't too bad to hang around with either.

His family was wealthy enough to own the town. He could have anything he wanted whenever he wanted. They practically rolled in money.

He had everything a kid could ever want...but yet somehow, some reason it wasn't enough.

So when Sasuke sits in homeroom that morning, he doesn't bother to listen to Naruto as he contemplates on whether he should ask Hinata (an annoyingly shy girl who was head over heels for the oblivious Namikaze) to the upcoming autumn dance that was to take place in four months. Seemed like Naruto was finally showing interest in the Hyuuga female, must to the dismay of her brother, Neji.

He rolls his eyes as a certain pink haired female skips over to his desk. She smells too strongly of bubblegum.

"Hi Sasuke-kun!" Her annoyingly high-pitched voice squealed in his ears. He refuses to acknowledge her presence, but responds with a simple nod of his head before returning his stare to the blank whiteboard, which the teacher had yet to come and write on.

"Can I sit here?" She gestures towards the empty seat besides the Uchiha. Before Sasuke can respond, he's interrupted.

"He doesn't want to sit next to you, Forehead!" The obnoxious voice of Ino Yamanaka sneers at the Haruno, whose face goes red and smoke comes out of her ears. To be honest, Sasuke didn't really much mind the blond girl anymore. Ever since that Sai kid moved to the school back in sixth grade, Ino wasn't all that annoying anymore.

Although sometimes that was an understatement.

He lets out a sigh as the two females begin to bicker, and Naruto, totally oblivious to everything around him is playing Temple Run on his phone as they await for the teacher to come and start the day.

Yep, an average day indeed.

Finally, minuets later their homeroom teacher, Iruka-sensei rushes in. "Good morning everyone!" He rushes to organize his things together as he sets up his desk. Sakura and Ino aren't aware to this as they continue butting heads at each other.

"Haruno-san, since you can't seem to find a seat, please come and sit right here." Iruka points to the desk all the way in front of the large classroom, and the Haruno girl whines before stomping over to the desk.

"Anyways, everyone, I hoped you had a good weekend. To start the day off, I would like to introduce a new student." He turned towards the door and gestured. "Come in Harime-san."

The class grew quiet as a girl came in. Boys stared with wonder as the girls stared with envy. Sasuke barely peaked in interest.

The girl was quite pretty, he'd admit. She had soft, brunette hair that was pulled back into a high ponytail pulled back by a black ribbon. Her eyes were the color of rich caramel, and her skin was a bright peaches-and-cream complexion. She wasn't to tall, nor too short. Her body, was quite in good shape for her age, with nice, soft curves. Her eyes stared on emotionlessly to her classmates.

"Why don't you introduce yourself?" Iruka said.

The girl let out a soft breath before speaking, "My name is Hikari Harime. It's nice to meet you." She gave a respectful bow.

She spoke in a calm, quiet tone. So she seemed different already. She wasn't like the loud, obnoxious, talkative girls he had come to know at this school so far. That was a start.

"Please have a seat next to...hm, Uchiha-san. Sasuke, raise your hand please." Said ravenette lazily raised his hand as Hikari walked up to the desk and quietly sat. He noticed how she hadn't even spared him a single glance, and paid straight attention to Iruka as he talked. She ignored the angry stares from his fangirls. She ignored the stares from the boys. But most of all, she ignored him.

Now this was a shock to Sasuke. Nearly every girl he met, instantly threw themselves at him, or at least acknowledged this at some point, but the brunette besides him hadn't even look in his direction. Instead she looked on ahead, caramel irises bored and tired.

He didn't know what and even though he'd barely met her, there was something...different about this girl...something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

And he was intrigued by her.

So there's chapter one :) Short, but it's the first one :) the next chapters will be longer, I can TRY to do :)
