A/N New story, please read my other one - A Time Like no other.
Sian Edwards wasn't looking forward to school. Teaching had always been one of her favourite things, but her private life came first.
She walked up the few steps into Waterloo Road, then went and joined Tom Clarkson.
"Okay, we need to keep waterloo road as one of the best schools for people to choose. The lasted report from the LEA was not good, if we don't find a way to save this school, there will not be a school, which also means you will be left out of jobs I am ready for any ideas, please could Tom and Sian stay behind," bellowed Michael Byrne.
Tom sighed. He had a form of year 11, including Finn Sharkey and Madi Diamond.
"Michael, I have-"
"To come to this meeting, I've organised cover. It's only going to be a few minutes, nothing we can't handle"
"Michael, I need to go. I can't be here," whispered Sian.
Michael grabbed her arm and stopped her.
"Tom go to class, meeting will be tomorrow instead, Sian with me," said Michael.
Once they were in their office, Sian sat down, looking out the window. Michael put his hand on her thigh, but she just shrugged it off.
"Sian, what's happened?" Michael asked, now really worried for his colleague "your classes grades have all gone down, and your not the same person you used to be".
"Look, Michael, ever since you came in between me and Jez, nothing has gone smoothly. All of the students have been asking why I changed my name, and I just don't know what I want anymore. Part of me wants to resign and just get a whole new life and career, but then I think I want to be with you and what you did was for the better," said Sian, her voice breaking into a whisper.
"Look, let's put all of that behind us now, forget the past. Lets go for dinner tonight and talk about it," said Michael.
"Ok, that would be nice."
She stood up and as she did so did Michael, giving her a tender embrace.
She walked down to her class. Chemistry. Vicki. Ronan. Her mind was just spinning too much. It had been a hard time for Vicki and Ronan, and she still had to make sure they got all of the grades they were expected to get.
"Morning class, sit anywhere today, this lesson is going to be different," she said over everyone choosing where to sit, "you have the first part of your controlled assessment today. You are all ready, and I wouldn't be saying that if I didn't mean it". She looked at Vicki.
"All your equipment is in the class room, get in to your groups. Remember this if for your exam," said Sian.
