AN: Hey it's me again! Thanks to al who reviewed my last story, hope this is at least comparable. This one is my first attempt at a poem, though. Reviews are very much loved. :D Enjoy!

The Evening

Her dress was a penetrating black

Used to signal all she lacked.

His tux was white

Because his love was only right

He prayed for patience

While she became more anxious

He stood there waiting

So close to pacing

She applied a bit of blush

Because today she would not cuss

It wouldn't be about revenge

For it was a bond no one could bend.

Robbie laid a hand on his shoulder

Rex was not there; he simply loathed her

She laced her combat boots as Cat helped her with the dress

This would be spectacular, they just wouldn't settle for less.

Cat took her hands and whispered in her ear-

"Relax. It's all in here."

She pointed to her heart

Then she ran out, faster than a dart

He saw Cat first as she scurried to her place

Then her saw her and that perfect little face

She walked with her dad

And for once, he didn't seem mad

He held out her hand for him to take

Only because he knew she was something he would not break

He reached out and grasped her fingers

She welcomed the warmth and hoped it would linger

The trees above them brought mystery

Just like them and their long history

They were on the woods

Just because they could

He smiled and she smirked

But he was not scared, he knew what lurked

She was Jade and he was Beck

Both became eager for what would come next

They wed at night

With only a single light

And right on cue-

"I love you."
