This Is Who We Are

Fast and Furious Franchise

Rating: PG

Pairing: Brian/Mia, Letty/Dom, and Han/Gisele

Summary: Mia's thoughts in the aftermath of the dinner. Set when they finished their meal at the end of the movie. Furious 6.

Author's Note: I have decided to write a one- shot from every main original characters so I now have Letty, Dom, and Mia. I tried writing Brian's but an idea hasn't sparked yet so hopefully one will come to me in the next few days. And I am tying them all together by having them end with my favorite phrase from the films, ride or die.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Everything was right in her world.

Not everything was perfect but it was the first time since her world was torn apart that things were normal again. She was back at home. If she were being honest the moment when things had gone to hell was when Brian admitted to being a cop.

That was years ago now and things had changed since then. So many things had changed because of that.

Meeting Brian had changed her entire life. It had been the most thrilling feeling she had ever felt. And with the many adventures she had been on with the team that was saying a lot. She has never been the same person after meeting him.

Her feelings for him had hit her hard and never left her. Perhaps, that's why she had been so willing to forgive him and reunite with him.

But not all of the changes had been good.

Brian had been the reason her life had been ripped apart but he had been the one to repair the wounds.

And meeting him wasn't a moment she regretted regardless of the pain she had gone through because it had led her to this moment.

As Roman had said earlier those moments were what made them who they are.

Mia looked around. Brian held little Jack in his arms. Tej and Roman were fighting like two-years old like always. Han was trying his best to partake in the joyous after glow of their meal. Mia knew it was all an act and that Gisele was what was really occupying his thoughts.

They had lost her like so many others.

Vince. Jesse.

Mia's heart began to ache with the memories of lost loved ones.

Up until recently that list had another name on it, Letty. She was the sister Mia had always loved. It mattered little to the girls that they shared no blood. Mia remembered when she had learned of Letty's relationship with Dom, she had known that one day Letty would be a real sister.

When she had learned Letty maybe alive she had so many emotions coursing through her.

That was nothing compared to the moment Mia had seen Letty again.

It was one of the most emotional times of her life.

The tough as nails brunette had been surprised when Mia had pulled her in close, held her tight, and cried tears of unexplained relief.

Letty was still sitting on Dom's lap. Mia loved the familiarity of the scene.

It was just like a normal family.

Mia looked at Brian again. He seemed not to have a care in the world except for his son. It was the perfect moment to Mia.

But she knew it wouldn't last. Dom and Brian just weren't built for normal for very long.

They meant it when they said Ride or Die.

End.
