Tommy smiled. At least, he thought he was smiling. He wasn't sure if you could smile and kiss at the same time. He only knew that if it was possible, he'd be doing it right at that moment. On second thought, maybe he should've just concentrated on kissing. Moments like that don't happen often, and when they do, every necessary action should be taken to make it last a little bit longer.
What caused Tommy to be so happy? Maybe it was Jude's finished album. Maybe it was Darius's apology. Maybe it was the seventeen-year-old body pressed against the wall whose hands were tangled in his hair. It had to be the third one; Tommy was completely oblivious to everything else.
Tommy had started it. No, the kid started it. It wasn't Tommy's fault he couldn't resist that cute, little mouth. It had started out innocently enough. Just the two of them, in Studio B, exchanging playful banter. Suddenly, Tommy found himself wondering what it would feel like to have those lips on his. He didn't wonder long. Tommy stepped forward and swiftly placed a kiss on the young mouth in front of him. Much to his surprise, the seventeen-year-old quickly responded, resulting in Tommy moving so that they were against the wall, hopefully out of the view of the window. He knew he shouldn't be doing this.
Tommy pulled back slightly in order to look at the face in front of him. Shining eyes, flushed cheeks, and red, swollen lips were all he could see. Who cares what other people thought? The way this kid fit into his arms; it had to be right. So what if they were a bit unconventional? Neither one seemed to mind much at the moment. Tommy was about to dive in for another kiss when the door was suddenly thrown open by none other than Jude.
"Hey, Tommy, I left my…OH! Sorry! I didn't know you were…JAMIE? Is that you?"
"Close the door, Jude." A muffled voice called out from between Tommy and the wall. Quickly, she slammed the door and walked into the lobby, slightly more than dazed.
"Hey, Jude. You seen Tommy?" Darius asked her.
"Um, he's kinda busy right now."
"I don't care." With that, Darius stalked to the door of Studio B and threw it open, only to shut it just as quickly. "Nevermind," he called through the closed door.
Inside, Tommy walked to the door and locked it, like he should have in the first place. Finally, he could get some privacy with the kid. Granted, Tommy had never spent much time with Jamie before, but he was sure going to do that now.
