Olivia's POV

I hear a car honking. I walk outside I see my friends Rachel and Grace. Rachel has light brown hair, blues eyes, and freckles. Grace has blond hair and green eyes.

"Come on, Olive. You're going to be late," Grace said to me.

Olive is my nickname. I got in Rachel's car. Her car sparkled. Rachel must've got a paint job.

"Let's get goinggo shopping, girls. We've got a long day ahead of us," Rachel said.

I got in Rachel's car. Grace was excited. I was not like a shopping girl. I see the world through a camera. Either a picture camera or a filming movie camera, there were be cameras everywhere. I almost take my camera almost everywhere I go. Our driveways to our school were blocked by a storm from last night.

Rachel pulled over on a driveway, we arrive at our destination. T - the mall. We do all kind of things in the mall, get clothes, get Aunt-Annie's Pretzels, and as obviously, makeup. I was a bit nervous around my town, Mercy Falls, ever since, Jack Culpeper died last month. The case, for the moment, remains unsolved. They were many theories about his death. Some think he did a suicide or murdered by his family and stuffed. To me, this was not the case. Rachel, Grace, and I were having lunch together. We were eating Aunt-Annie's pretzels. I sometimes eat them. I want to keep a healthy diet.

"Hey, Olive…" Rachel began to ask me.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Do you and Grace want to go on vacation," Rachel asked.

"Well, I…" I began to reply.

"Of course we would," Grace replied as she cut me off.

"I'm not so sure, I would want to. My parents work hard 107 hours, 7 days a week. I don't think my parents would improve on your idea," I told them.

"Come on, it would be fun. We haven't figure out where we're going yet. But it has to be anywhere. Anywhere but Mercy Falls," Rachel said.

I caught a glimpse of a boy with black hair and yellow eyes looking at Grace.

"Hey, Grace," I said playfully.

"What?" Grace asked me.

I pointed at the yellow-eyed boy, who was smiling at her.

"What's your point?" Grace asked me.

"You should go talk to him," I requested.

"What?" Grace asked me in a shock.

"You never had a boyfriend before," I replied.

"That's the reason?" Grace asked me.

"No. That's the same guy from the book store from the summer. He was looking at you. No, he's not over his teens. Just go talk to him, please? I'll go on the trip with you," I explained to her.

Grace sighed.

"Ok," Grace said.

Grace walked up to the boy. She said high hi to her. A minute later, they were having a conversation.

"What is she doing?" Rachel asked me.

"You'll see," I told Rachel.

"You're a strange girl, Olivia," Rachel said to me.

I glared at her.

"In a good way," Rachel said.

"I don't think there is a good way," I said.

After 8 minutes, Grace came back to the table where we were at.

"So, what did he say?" Rachel asked Grace.

"He asked me out on a date," Grace said.

I clapped my hands together.

"Yeah!" I yelled.

Grace and Rachel looked at me.

"Sorry, I just got freaking excited," I explained.

"That's great. When is the date going to happen?" Rachel asked me.

"The 13th," Grace replied.

"The 13th?!" Rachel and I asked in unison.

"Yeah," Grace replied.

"But you have school on the 13th," Rachel said.

"He'll pick me up at 7:30 PM," Grace informed us.

"At night?" Rachel asked Grace.

"What part of 7:30 PM, don't you understand?" Grace asked sarcastically.

"Hey, Olivia, Rachel, would you like to have a sleepover at my place tomorrow night?" Grace asked.

"Sure," Rachel said.

"I can't meteor shower is going to happen tomorrow night. I want to take pictures of it," I told them.

"That's ok," Grace said.

"Yeah, we understand. You don't want to miss this special moment," Rachel said.

"Thanks, guys," I said.

These two were my best friends. I would be with them, to the very end.

*the next day*

October 8, 2018. 5:00 PM.

I got to a hill where I can view the meteor shower. I brought my picture camera with me.

2 hours later, the meteor shower started. After a few hours, I took at the pictures I needed for the meteor shower. Just then, I heard a growl from behind. I turned around.

"Hello? Is someone there?" I asked.

A large dog with black fur walked towards me. I looked at it in fright. I took steps back. I slipped off the hill. I hit my head and became unconscious.

When I woke up, I regained consciousness. I looked at the time ion my watch. It was 1:51 AM. When I tried to get up, the large dog was looking at me. I was looking in fright. A gunshot happenrang out. The giant dog ran off. The shooter ran towards me.

"You alright miss?" he asked me.

"Yeah," I replied.

"What the hell happened?" The shooter asked me.

All I could do was to pass out.
