piano man
Day in, day out, she plays her song,
through dawn and dusk, the whole day long.
And yes, she knows, some wonder why,
but the truth is the truth has passed her by.
One day, long ago, there was reason and rhyme,
but both of them have faded in time.
She sits in her wheelchair, a smile on her face,
softly bringing light to this miserable place.
The notes slowly weave through the hot, dry air,
making all the kids smile, now without a care.
So maybe there's a better place to be,
but if there is, it's not one she can see.
And maybe she isn't the best of them all,
but if there's someone better, then they should come to call.
And maybe she's not quite the piano man,
but she can play as good as any guy can.
Ha. I love Risa so much. I was listening to Piano Man by Billy Joel and thought of this. What do you think? REVIEW!
