The first time it happened, they were arguing - something they did quite often. One minute they were fighting over a suspect, and the next their lips were fused together. Mac wasn't sure who kissed who, but they were most definitely kissing. He had the back of her shirt fisted in one hand, and his other hand tangled in her dark hair as the kiss deepened, both of them groaning. It was only the ringing of his telephone that caused them to jump back, both breathing heavily.
The second time was after a take-down. Michelle had been hit in the head, and Mac insisted on sitting her down and examining the wound. As he gently touched her forehead, she reached up and let her fingers brush against his lips. Mac froze, but found the tension easing out of his body as she kissed him. He sighed at the contact, both hands cupping her face as their kisses grew deeper and longer. But they jerked away as the locker room door opened and Danny and Stella walked in.
It got to the point where Mac was losing count of how many times it happened. All he knew was that the taste of her lingered, and that he found himself eagerly awaiting their next kiss.
But he was tired of waiting. So he finally showed up in her office, and asked her out to dinner. From the smile on her face as she said yes, Mac knew that she was sick of waiting as well.

"This was nice," Michelle said as they walked through the Park after dinner.
Mac let his hand rest on the small of her back. "I'm glad you came."
She smiled. "It's about time we did this, I think."
"Agreed." He paused. "So what do we do now?"
Michelle thought about that. "Well, we could just keep doing things this way. There are a few closets in the lab we haven't tried yet." At the fierce blush on his cheeks, she laughed, turning to face him. "Or we could admit that there's something here and take it outside of work."
Reaching out, he gently rested his hands on her hips. "I think I'd like that."
"Yeah?" she asked, moving closer.
Mac smiled. "Yeah. So does this mean I get a second date?"
Instead of answering, Michelle smiled and kissed him softly. Mac pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her body as he tilted his head and deepened the kiss.
"Mmm," Michelle murmured. "It's nice to do this without interruption."
"I can think of somewhere even more private," he suggested.
She grinned, kissing him again. "Lead on."
