I saw that there were no fanfics about Aya and I had to fix that...enjoy! 3
My parents and I were in the waiting room at the hospital, waiting for Hiro to come back with his 'cure' that was supposedly going to cure him of his bubbleheadedness. How those pills are going to help, I'm not sure.
"Mom, why does Hiro need a cure?" I ask impatiently, looking up at my mother.
"He's a brain damaged bubblehead! Your father and I got the cure and we have seen results. It really does work!"
"Well, I just hope he hurries up." I look at my watch, an early fifteenth birthday present.
We hear a door screech open and look up. Ren walks in and sits across from me.
"How do you feel Ren-chan?" My dad asks him.
"I feel a bit…numb." Ren murmurs as he turns on his thumb-twitch game.
"Really?" I gasp, looking at my parents. "Poor Hiro-chan."
"He's fine." Ren says, stating into space as his eye-screen flashes.
"Hi…"
We all look up, even Ren who was completely focused on his game.
"Hiro!" My mom screamed, getting up and hugging my older brother.
"How are you son?" Dad asks as he sits in the chair my mom has just vacated, closer to Hiro.
"I'm fine." He manages, his voice sounding strained as my mother continued to squeeze him.
"Wait," I say, realizing something. "If Hiro-chan is fine why does Ren feel numb?"
We all look at Ren. "What?" He asks, pausing his thumb-twitch game to meet all of our stares.
"Are you sure you feel okay?" My mom asks.
"I don't know." He mutters, slouching in his chair.
"You said you feel numb." My dad tried to get him to answer by waving his hand in front of his face.
"I guess I'm just tired."
"Which explains why he looks like he is falling asleep?" Hiro says with a laugh as he sits in the chair next to dad's, thankful that mom had released him.
"Ugghh…" Ren answered as his eyescreen flashed with color from the his game.
We all laugh and Ren doesn't even look up, or register that we are laughing at him.
Hiro yawns and my eyes widen as I look at him.
"You're tired too!"
"It's probably just a side-effect from him just getting the cure."
"Okay." I say as I relax. "Can we leave now?"
"In a second." My dad says. "We're just waiting for the doctor.
We wait five minutes in silence and then a doctor appears at the door. "Mr. and Mrs. Fuse?"
"That's us!" My dad claims. "C'mon dear!" He helps my mother get out of her chair.
Hiro, Ren and I wait for my parents to be done. They're talking in hushed tones, probably so we didn't hear them. All I heard was "Sorry." "Ren." and "Delusional."
I laugh quietly and look over at Ren who has fallen asleep. I look at Hiro who is staring at the ceiling.
I sigh and walk over to where the magazines are. I look down at them, they look like they're all meant for littlies. I sigh again and hear someone in the hallways. I look closer to see who it is. It's a mangahead, he is holding his head and stomping down the hallway. He walks past me and out the door. Al the while mumbling something about how stupid he was for getting surged because he felt awful.
The doctor that was talking to my parents paused and followed my gaze.
"Oh sorry about that!" She said. "Don't mind him. He just got the cure..and brain surge! Radical something I think he called it…"
