"Mike…we can't do this anymore…"
Bryan adjusted his pants, tightening his belt in sadness. Mike scrunched his brow, his eyes avoiding Bryan's as he wandered the scattered mess of the desk. Bryan's desk. On the computer screen was a digital sketch of Korra he had been working on. The table had scattered scripts and possible storyboard sketches for the future books they were going to create together.

Together.

"It was…nice at first…but we just can't risk getting caught. If anyone knew…it—" Mike put a finger to his lips. He whispered softly, just so him and him alone could hear it.

"I know…"

Bryan sighed "It's just…affecting my work! How are we going to meet to our own standards when we can't stay on task…?"

Mike rubbed his temples "I have no clue. We can't give up. You need to push yourself. Push yourself like I know you can, Bryan…" he forced a smile, hoping to get one in return, although it wasn't met.

"I…I feel terrible Mike…I…I just need a break…" Bryan spoke as Mike shifted his body away.

Mike nodded "Yeah. Alright. We can take a break…" Bryan lifted his eyes to meet Mike's at last.
"No. /I / need to take a break. Not just from /us/, but all of this. I can't do /this/ anymore…" he gestures to his computer screen. "I'm done."
Mike was in shock. Bryan…done? No…this can't be true…

"You…You don't mean that—"

"Yes. I do. I'm sorry…Mike…"

Mike was taken aback. This isn't Bryan. This isn't him at all. Creating this show was his life! He put all of his blood, sweat and tears into it! But deep down, Bryan felt that after what had happened between his friend and himself, it would be something he'd be willing to let go.

Mike ran his hand over his bald head.

"I'm sorry…" was all he managed to say.
Bryan, in too much of a haze to reply, simply walked out, not even gathering his things at his desk. Mike watched the back of his head. What would happen to the Legend of Korra? He still couldn't believe how much he took his pal for granted.
Bryan continued to walk, his mind racing. Leaving his work? Where will he go from here…? A crummy fast food job? I suppose whatever it takes.

'They will do fine without me', Bryan thinks to himself as he gets into his car, driving away. Little did he know that Mike watched him leave, tears in his eyes. How will he break this to everyone…? Sure, they have enough directors and storyboard writers that could help finish the show…but to lose that fire? They created this show together. They vowed to each other that they were to see it through to the very end.

Together.
